We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 night stay. It's fantastic how close it is to the Lungomare. The host met us at the restaurant next door and showed us where the onsite parking was. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Our favorite was Konoba Ribarnica great prices, great food. We were able to prepare meals easily in the kitchen. The bed is very comfortable. Don't plan on driving in town, parking is a nightmare. Use Google maps to walk everywhere & get a multi-day bus pass to get around town. We were able to wash our clothes in the bathtub pretty easily and hang them on the drying rack. There are places to go in Rijeka for laundry. The kitchen was missing a few items. We contacted the host and he came the next day with those items. The heat is radiant, and it works great. There is a cherry tree that produces fruit in late May/June. Also, by the gate there is sage and rosemary growing, perfect for cooking. On the Carmen Sylva Forest Promenade there is tons of Laurel as well. Great places to check out: Market Opatija central market with fresh vegetables, cheese, meat and fish open from 6 - 13 except Sunday & Thalassotherapy Opatija fantastic day spa with gym, pool and spa area 35 euro day pass. We spent 8 hours there one day.

The couch in the living room is not comfortable. It's difficult opening the gate, driving backwards into the parking space, and then closing the gate every time you move the car in and out. One person can do it but it's better as a two-person job. The internet connection was not good, it kept disconnecting and we would have to turn it off and back on again a few times a day. The water heater is too small to be able to fill up the tub. It only fills about 1/4-1/3 before you run out of hot water. However, it only took 1/2 -1 hour for the hot water heater to heat completely back. My husband filled the tub & kept the water hot by filling the kettle & continued doing that while waiting. It's a bit of work, but if you love a hot bath on a cold day, it's great.

Das Apartment ist sehr schön ausgestattet, alles Nötige ist vorhanden. Der Blick auf das Meer beim Frühstücken ist phantastisch, die Lage ist perfekt, in wenigen Minuten ist man am Strand, die nächste Einkaufsgelegenheit ist ebenfalls in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Parkplatz ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Kontakt mit den Besitzern ist jederzeit möglich. Es waren wunderschöne Tage in Opatija!

Very stylish apartment in old villa, great location, parking spot, very nice owners

kitchen is too small, only 2 cooking spots, no air conditioning, only cold floor, but for this reason shower never dries, need always to wear slippers , in a hot weather terrace is useful only to dry clothes, shower is broken and leaking, wi-fi is complicated

The location was perfect for us. Close to the see, short and pleasant walk along Lungomare to Opatija. The private parking spot was so important. The mornings and evenings on the terrace. The host was kind and comunication very simple and quick.

I expected to have air conditioning, this facility was mentioned in the description of the apartment. Well,there is no air conditioner. There is a cooling System based on water in the floor. During our stay it was a rather cold outside at night and kept the window open, it was ok. Anyway, there is no air conditioner.
