Sunset Apartments

The apartment was beautiful, spacious, spotless, and very modern. We stayed on the third floor and enjoyed a stunning view of the city, especially magical in the evening. The host was extremely kind and helpful, always quick to respond to any messages or questions we had, which made our stay even more comfortable and stress-free. Although the pool by the apartments was quite small, it still brought our daughter so much joy – she spent hours in it and absolutely loved it.

The only downside was the location. Although technically close to the city, it’s only really accessible by car. Walking to the nearest market took about 10 minutes, but it was all uphill. Reaching the city center – with bakeries, restaurants, the beach, and other attractions – took around 40 minutes on foot, also mostly uphill. So we would recommend this place mainly for guests traveling with a car.

Very beautiful and clean apartment with high standard. Small but beautiful pool area. The host was very helpful and easy to communicate with. We rented a car for the whole week, so the location worked perfectly for us (without a car we might have preferred to stay a little closer to the beach). I highly recommend this place!

The property (Apt E on second floor) is very nice and well equipped and with super sea views from the balcony and lounge and dining room. We arrived un announced about 11.30 and were allowed to move in which was really helpful.

The property is half way up a steep hill on a bend. The apartment is quite noisy with vehicles driving up the steep hill and taking the bend. The nearest restaurants are about 1 km away, either at the bottom or there is one at the top. You therefore need transport to go out for a meal or order a takeaway delivery which worked well. Unfortunately the freezer did not work and the bathroom extractor made a very loud noise and needed replacing. We reported these matters within 24 hours of arriving for our 4 night stay but the owner just thanked us for the information and said he would look into the matters, but annoyingly made no attempt to do so whilst we were there. The television also has an annoying flicker at times and there is a smell of drains in the bathroom from the open gully.

Nice layout, good sized bedrooms, large open space for dining and watching tv. Opens up onto the deck and pool area directly. Everything you need is there.

The sea view was somewhat obscured by a new building and there was several building works happening early in the morning. Parking was sometimes a challenge but always got a spot.

Having to pay in cash on arrival, rather than on a card, is a real pain when travelling.

Far away from the sea

Fantastic apartment, great host, spacious appartment and swimming pool. Great view over Makarska and sunset in the evening. Big balconies where you can sit and relax. We had a superb staying here.

Just keep in mind this appartment is on the hill, so walking to beach is not something we would recommend.
