Apartments Piritus

The location was amazing and the aircon was much needed in the summer heat!

The door had a electric keypad lock but if you push really hard you can open it and when given a key to manually lock it, it didn’t work. But the main gate downstairs was secure! Maybe they could install a latch?

The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Clean, modern facilities within a traditional Croatian building. The host is contactable and always replied (even suggesting a separate location where we could leave luggage) A short 5 minute walk will take you into the old town, 10 minutes and you’re at the port and 15-20 minutes to Jezinac beach a small beach with clear waters.

Price may seem high in peak season, but local hotels are double the cost. 10am checkout is a little early, but they do have a separate location where bags can be stored.

Location

The apartment was not secure. The door could be pushed open after locking it. We emailed the property the night we arrived and they left a physical key in the apartment for us the next day. We were unhappy leaving our belongings all day in the apartment. There wasn’t a safe either. It messed up our day. There was only one mirror in the apartment which was in the bathroom. The apartment could have done with a long mirror or an additional mirror. The bathroom was small so it was often difficult to get ready. The property is small. The pictures are deceptive. I was under the impression when I looked at the pictures that there was a courtyard and more space however the courtyard belongs to private owners. The pictures look nicer. As the security issue messed up our day in split I asked the owners if we could get an additional hour at checkout time. Checkout time is 10am which is very early especially when check in time is 2pm. They said they had other guests arriving but that wasn’t until 2pm which would have given them from 11am to 2pm to clean one room. I thought they could have honoured our request especially with the door incident. But this was not the case. I did request it a few times

Good location, they provided towels and a everything needed for the kitchen. Comfortable clean bed, nice bathroom, good aircon.

A bit too expensive for what it is.
