We loved the location and cosiness of the property

Location is superb, especially if you enjoy history - the proximity of the domed Roman Vestibule, the Peristyle, amazing Cathedral etc, and all the shiny clean pedestrian streets of historic Split are a great joy. Very convenient for the bus and train stations and the ferries. The apartment is very good - well equipped and comfortable throughout. Upstairs and downstairs bathrooms are convenient, and lighting throughout is very flexible. We didn't feel disturbed by street noise, although we were staying in late October and so at the end of the 'season'. From other reviews it seems that some guests have found it difficult to find when arriving - it's not really difficult - we followed directions given in Lorna's review (May 2024) and it was easy - just go through the Vestibule towards the Ethnographic Museum (worth a visit!) and the apartment is diagonally across the small square to the right. We enjoyed lovely day trips to Hvar, Sibenik and Trogir, and had some excellent meals in Split. Thank you to Orjana for her understanding when we caused a small problem, and she was very kind in provision of wine and other commodities. A wonderful stay and excellent value for money.

Lovely (and unusual) to have a piano (we're musicians) but - as I expected from the photos - it is not really in playing condition! But that isn't a complaint.

Loved how this airBNB was situated right in the heart of old town Split..Old Stone House charm and very comfortable. You are living within the walls of history ! From the door of this apartment you take a left turn and walk 30 seconds to the vestibule and 40 seconds to the main Peristel Square! The hotel next door can be $800 a night, so staying here with your own kitchen and space at a fraction of that cost is awesome. You can hear the vestibule singers while in bed or look out the bedroom window and suddenly be in the photos of tourists who are walking by taking pics of the pretty surroundings. All restaurants, promenade, shops are a stones throw away! You are literally in the heart of Old Town Split. The owner was easy to communicate with and a joy to talk to. Great wifi, AC, cleanliness. A super high recommendation for this place. We felt very lucky to stay here and would again in a heartbeat. Split is wonderful and all its splendor is at your fingertips staying here!

Loved it all - However if you have mobility issues you must go up stairs to reach the bedroom

Fabulous location almost next to the Vestibul. A cappella singing drifting in through the shutters. So close to all the historic buildings of Split. Plus a really nice kitchen so you could cook at home and relax if you wanted to. A really lovely place to stay. Plus the host left wine and food which was greatly appreciated.

The host was lovely and came down to meet us at the main street as it can be confusing to get to. The place was tucked away in the palace and gave us the perfect local experience we were after whilst still being close to everything.

Our favourite property of our 5 week trip. Excellent location in the old palace. Gorgeous character and every convenience you could wish for. Amazing upstairs bedroom which was so comfortable and peaceful. Host was wonderful. Thankyou for the amazing stay.
