Dry. Ice and quiet place Welcomed with local honey, bread and cheese

Friendly hostess, met us in arrival, good English and was available next door if we needed anything. She brought us her homemade honey, cheese,vegetables and pastries. The apartment had what we needed for a two night stay visiting Plitvice about 25 mins drive away.

Hostess met us to let us in at 9pm. Hotel is located about 15 minutes from entrance 1 and is convenient for arriving from the north. She also very kindly left a plate of cookies and biscuits in the kitchen along with a nice drink.

There is no central heating so bathroom a bit cold. But this is out in the countryside, so understandable.

The host was very friendly and welcomed us with coffee and cheese (and lemonade for our daughter). They set up the pool table for us, so we had lots of fun playing it. It was such a relaxing environment, we were happy we arrived early. We managed to cook our own meal with food from the nearby supermarket. We missed one egg, which we got for free from the host. We bought nice honey and beer from her. The best part is that it is so close to the Plitvice lakes (the main reason for us to stay here one night), the next morning it only took us 20 minutes to get there and you beat the big crowds that arrive later.

Nothing. Well, maybe the rooster that woke us up in the morning haha. But that is part of country life, no alarm needed.
