Empress apartment

The apartment itself is well equipped. The condition is quite new. Location was fantastic. 4 mins walk to the large shopping mall which has everything. Free bus from the mall to Split Old Town and back. Felt safe walking back to the apartment even after 11pm. Well provided even with beach towel and straw hats, welcome drinks and cookies. Aircond is a plus.

The bathroom was unfortunately disgusting. It is a black floor, and the day we checked in, we had already realised that it felt slimy on the floor. We could see brown moldy flakes floating around during shower. Informed the owner. She said she cleaned it before we checked in? We had to wear our water shoes that meant for the beach to shower throughout our stay. There were dust on the side tables in the bedroom, and drawers in the closet. Unfortunately, hygiene isn't something that can be compromised. The balcony has both the mountain view and the highway. Which means, it is very noisy when the balcony door is opened. But, after our 3rd day of stay, we were kind of used to the noise and enjoyed our stay besides the bathroom issue which was unacceptable as I was concerned if we might catch any bacteria infection at shower. I had to wash a blanket as it had perfume smell on it (didn't wash from previous guest, I guess?).

Slightly dirty- they only clean where you can see… look deeper and you’ll need to clean the apartment first (sorry clean nut) - a normal person would be more than happy

Very modern, newly decorated apartment. Located near exit of ring road access but it has very good noise isolation, there is a convenience store below. The shopping mall is nearby! For guests traveling by car, the host offers a free parking spot in the same building.
