Staying in Makarska was wonderful! We stayed in a very small room (12 sq. meters), but it was more than enough since we only used it for sleeping at night and spent the rest of the time outside. The view from the balcony of the sea and mountains is magnificent! The hosts were very friendly and caring — they treated us, offered to do our laundry, and were always ready to help so that we wouldn’t lack anything. It’s worth mentioning that the apartment is quite far from the beach, and without a car, it's difficult to walk back up — the slope is very steep. We were happy with our vacation and very grateful to the hosts for the warm welcome!

Wonderful and such kind owners. They always checked on us to make sure everything was ok or if we needed anything. They gave us fresh fruit on our arrival as well as during our stay as well as pastries some mornings. They offer laundry service which was amazing. The rooms were well equipped and very tidy. The place is located in a quiet area with amazing views. To end our stay they dropped us off at the bus station which was very kind considering the hilly walk down. We are so glad we found this accomodation!

The location although beautiful is a difficult walk to the beach as the accomodation is located on a hill. If you have a car it is ok but we did not so we walked and it is steep but this gave us some great exercise for the day!

These hosts did everything to make our vacation in Makarska unpleasant and leave us with a bitter experience. We have traveled everywhere and we travel often and nowhere have we had an experience like here, which is why our stay in Makarska was extremely bad, which was contributed by the hosts. hosts on the page are shown as pet friendly, but they are definitely not. As soon as we arrived with the dog, dissatisfaction was evident and we were told that the dog must not be alone in the apartment. based on that, we took the dog in the heat (it was 42 degrees in the evening) where the dog almost had a heat stroke, we have a french bulldog and everyone who knows dogs knows very well that the heat is unbearable for them compared to other dogs. the hosts monitor every day when you come and go and so one day after we let the dog in the room, they threatened us that we have to pay 10 euros per day because the air conditioner is on while the dog is in the apartment. let's face it, the room is very small, it has one small window, and it's stuffy, and our dog is a brachiocephalic breed, so the air conditioner is absolutely always on for her in the summer. the host shouted at us, pointing the finger that the dog "stinks" us, that the dog costs him more than us, and that we will pay extra for leaving the air conditioning on for the sake of the dog. He was very unpleasant, said that we can't act like at home, shouted and waited for us every day that something was threatening us. Every arrival at the apartment was very stressful for us. Our dog was in the apartment (room) only in the afternoon when the temperature was up to 40 degrees. It is normal that dogs are not taken anywhere at that time, and all dog owners know that. I also have epilepsy and it is very important that I don't come into a space where there is no air like in this apartment, we told the owner that too and only then did he stop with the bad approach.
