Viola

We stayed for one night on the way. The location is amazing but the apartment is not meant as a summer holiday stay. The bedrom doesn't have a window and it is not the most comfortable apartment. There is an option to eat outside but the table and chairs are practically on the street, so, it is not a patio but regular street with a lot of passers-by. It was very clean and the lady was ever so helpful and friendly. The fruit basket awaited us and a selection of coffees and teas.

Loved the location. We stayed in the two self contained units next to each other. Walked around the town and took the boat to the Krka National Park Waterfall. The owner is lovely and meets you on arrival.

It took me a while to find the accommodation.

We had a wonderful stay at Viola. Very central and quaint was perfect for what we needed.

The location was superb - right in the centre of Skradin, by the bell tower and small store, etc, with the boat the Krka NP round the corner. The host (and her lovely grandson) were so dedicated and accomodating - she even brought us cake!! When we needed anything, she was on it straight away, despite the language barrier. When we needed somewhere to hang clothes to dry, she found us a hanger and let us dry it in her bit of the property. The washing machine is an amazing addition too, which we definitely needed! We also just adored Skradin in general.

The sofa bed was quite hard and uncomfortable - we ended up padding it with a lot of blankets but it still wasn't ideal. There are also windows between the bathroom, bedroom, and living room, so it was difficult to not disturb each other at night with lights on and off. We also had issues with the hot water running out so had to stagger showers, but the host tried very hard to solve this - I think it's just the type of boiler. The parking was also a bit confusing - where we were told to come was blocked by a barrier so after attempting a few different routes and getting stuck on tiny streets, we ended up parking in the big main Skradin car park which was thankfully only a few minutes away.

The place was perfect for 3, the host helped us with everything we needed. It’s close to the boats and main offices of Krka National Park, close to the bus stop, restaurants and supermarkets.
