Villa Clematis

The location was perfect, very close to the nicest beaches in the area and the diving centre too. The house is huge with lots of trees and beautiful plants everywhere, the balcony is huge with shaded area and a beautiful view over the sea. The pool was amazing too, clean and perfect for the kids to play in. The hosts, Anita and Ivan were lovely, they mostly understand German, not so much English but they had help with translation.

If only the beds were comfortable to sleep in.... unfortunately none of us had a good night sleep and we don't know why. It might be just us, but the mattresses didn't feel good to sleep on for a week long vacation.

Aircon only in living room and not bedrooms. None of us slept very well. Pool was a little ‘tired’ with some missing small tiles and could do with a good clean. Nothing terrible but there was algae in some areas.

The pool and the staff and owners were really nice and very catering

It was on a hill so it was difficult to get in and out by car. Also they didn’t provide any tea or coffee or condiments like salt and pepper and cooking oil. Otherwise it was nice

Really wonderful, beautiful , house, garden and wiew. Quiet area and we missed more choices in restaurant in walking distance ( probably 3 in the area ) Really nice staf/host , very welcoming. The beach is very close , small but wonderful and we never had problem finding place and the water is beautiful. The pool is great !

Clean rooms, friendly and helpful proprietors. Nice outdoor area. Kids loved the pool.

Uncomfortable beds. Narrow parking spaces. Some language barriers with some of the proprietors.

Anita was such a lovely host. Despite not speaking any English (we got by with my schoolgirl German) she gave us a very warm welcome with cold drinks, beer and biscuits and helped us settle in. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed (apart from a frying pan). The little pool was lovely, the garden was beautiful and the beach was just a 2 minute walk away. There were plenty of little bistro-style restaurants within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance and little supermarkets as well selling milk, bread, meat and jam etc. We hired a car for a couple of days and there was free parking on site. The villa is on an island so to get to Trogir Town you can either go by car (about 10 minite drive) or you can walk about 10 minutes and catch the water taxi which is the lovely scenic way to travel!
