Beach state of Art Balica Rat

Really nice appartment with beautiful view - where we could watch the sunset every day. We have spent most of the day in fantastic hidden beach located 50meters from the place or in the swimming pool.

Road to the appartment from the main street is really steep, like 45 degrees and really narrow. I had problem back up the hill (ok I had quite a big car, but such information provided could result in different model rented).

Our host Ines is a lovely lady, always happy to help in anyway she can. She even gave us a lift to the bus stop a couple of times so we didn't have to walk along the highway, and gave us some salt for cooking. The view from the balcony is stunning and all of the beaches have sparkling clear water which is great to swim in. The apartment is beautiful and clean with lots of interesting art work. There are lots of lovely little shops and restaurants close by, as well as plenty of beautiful beaches.

We wish we'd known the swimming pool is only for the ground floor apartment and host to use, if you book the apartment with a pool view and BBQ area, you can't use the pool. The towels provided are more like washcloths, we should have brought our own! The WiFi signal wasn't good, but it's nice to go off grid sometimes. The 60 bus into Omis and Split is super handy, but it's a 20 minute walk along the highway to catch it. This is fine during the day but slightly freaky at night, so if you enjoy nightlife and can't afford taxis, you probably want to stay closer to town.
