Villa Aska

The apartment is modern. It is spacious and the layout of the rooms is well designed. Very good facilities and very user friendly. The hosts are lovely, helpful people with a lovely pet dog.

I really cannot fault Villa Aska. I thoroughly enjoyed my week staying there.

Great communication from the host via WhatsApp. Being walked up to the apartment to save getting lost with luggage! Fresh lemonade on arrival and we were given fresh fruit on a couple of occasions which was delicious. The apartment is lovely and spacious. The beds were comfy. We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace looking at the gorgeous view of Lopud.

We were told that the 'mother in law' would meet us from the ferry. When we arrived a youngish man came over and said a word we hadn't heard before (we booked villa aska and he said 'villa mihajlovic' so we said 'no, thank you', also we thought we were waiting for a female). After 5 minutes we realised he was still waiting, as were we. So my husband went over and said we were waiting to go to villa aska and was that who he was waiting for? He then rolled his eyes and said yes I came over and asked you. We then walked to the apartment with him obviously irritated, in silence. He didn't explain anything about the apartment, except to say what the WiFi code was. We weren't told about the jacuzzi pool so didn't use it. We asked about the tortoises, as our son was excited to see them and he just waved his arm in a general direction. Then throughout our stay he completely ignored us when we walked past him at the villa or in the street. Not very friendly or welcoming. However, the other hosts were lovely, friendly and communicative!!

Lupod is a lovely place to visit and our hosts were lovely. Very clean an such a beautiful view from the house.

Nothing! Bring your food from the mainland, limited supply of groceries on the island.

Villa Aska is one of the most charming and idyllic apartments that I have ever stayed in. The hosts were welcoming and extremely kind; fresh homemade lemonade and homemade Sacher Torte were presented to me on arrival. The apartment has a terrace with a 6-place table and sun lounges and is totally private giving a view of Lopud Island's bay and of the stunning sunsets. The apartment has an open plan kitchen and sitting room with views of the bay and are lit by the afternoon sun. Both bedrooms are a good size and the beds are very comfortable. The whole apartment is very clean and fresh flowers had been placed on the table.

Beautiful apartment near the bay with a wonderful view :-) Hosts very helpful and friendly, upon arrival they treated us with lemonade and during our stay with grapes and vegetables of their own cultivation. Magical place :-)

The outdoor Jacuzzi does not have an option to heat water, so use is possible only during the day when the temperature outside is high. The apartment has a barbecue on the terrace, but on the island of Lopud there is no butcher store or a large market, so if someone (just like us) wants to barbecue during his stay, he must do his shopping in Dubrovnik and bring it by ferry. Next to the port in Dubrovnik is a large market Konzum and I recommend shopping there :-)
