Poppy Apartments Zagreb (MINT)

A hostess foi extremamente gentil durante toda a estadia. Permitiu que eu deixasse minhas malas na acomodação, enquanto estava sendo feita a limpeza, antes do check in. No decorrer da estadia, teve todo o cuidado conosco, indicando-nos os melhores pontos turísticos, tanto em Zagreb quanto em Dubrovnik. Deu-nos uma carona para um restaurante em um dia chuvoso e nos emprestou um guarda-chuva para que pudéssemos passear com conforto. Em um dia que eu estava me sentindo mal, indicou-me um hospital e teve toda a preocupação com o nosso bem-estar. Fiquei realmente feliz por estar hospedada com ela. Não sei como conseguiria me orientar na cidade para encontrar atendimento médico adequado, já que não conhecia ninguem. O apartamento é muito aconchegante e confortavel. Cama e lençóis bons, cozinha completíssima, com panelas, pratos, copos, fogão, forno, forno microondas, maquina de lavar louça, torradeira, cafeteira. Tem secador de cabelo, tabua de passar roupa. O apartamento é muito completo até para passar um tempo morando em Zagreb. Em resumo: demais de estarmos em um apartamento muito aconchegante e bem localizado, a hostess é uma pessoa muito gentil e generosa. Quando eu retornar a Zagreb, vou querer me hospedar no apartamento dela novamente.

Vi que algumas pessoas reclamaram de umas escadas que sobem e depois descem até a entrada do apartamento. Prédios de construções antigas têm escadas mesmo. E isso não foi um problema. Sobe-se um lance de escada e depois desce-se um lance de escadas e já estamos na porta do apartamento. Vi também que algumas pessoas reclamaram da luz do corredor de escadas à noite, que não acende, e que tiveram que usar a lanterna do celular. Na verdade, há um interruptor que acende as luzes, basta clicar nele e as luzes permanecem acesas temporariamente. Tempo suficiente para entrar no apartamento.

Lovely little spot. Great apartment with everything you could need. Lovely host. Perfect location for exploring Zagreb.

Clean and spacious apartment in a nice building with a garden. 15 minutes walk from the historical centre. The host was extremely polite and helpful, giving clear instruction of how to check in and check out, immediately answering all questions and ensuring that everything is alright. You will find all the essentials in the apartment for a very reasonable price in central location.

Good facility, convenient to reach by public transport.

We enjoyed our 1-night stay here after arriving late at night in Zagreb by train. The small apartment is in a quiet part of Zagreb, close to the city center. It was very clean and had everything we needed for one night, and we had a good night sleep there. The owner who came to see us the next day was very friendly and helpful, and also allowed us to stay a bit longer so we could pick up our rental car.

The place is absolutely pristine and beautifully appointed. It is obvious great care went into developing the space. The layout is thoughtful and functional which makes it look spacious despite being a small size. The host has thought of EVERYTHING; it had the most comprehensive amenities I have ever seen! There was a wide range of cookware and utensils, a cabinet stocked with oils and spices, multiple ice trays in the freezer, plastic bags for snacks, multiple selections of shampoo/conditioner/shower gel, laundry supplies, paper goods, there was even a new carton of milk, some eggs and water in the refrigerator. If you needed it, it was likely there at your disposal. Host took great care to communicate with me and provided walking directions via google maps to get to the market, restaurants etc. Bed and sofa were quite comfortable. The air conditioning was fabulous! New unit with high output that cooled things off quickly. There is a small patio out back to sit at if desired. The walk out doors are covered with an electric gate/shutters that when closed blocks out all ambient light - I slept more soundly here than any other place I’ve stayed at in recent memory!

The only thing I would note is that it IS a ground floor property, but you need to walk up 5 or 6 stairs in the entrance and then go down a flight of 12ish stairs to get to the place (which is pretty common in Europe; it is helpful though if it is stated). This wouldn’t have been an issue had I stayed here traveling without my 3 year old… but my 3 year old comes with much more “stuff” than It was a bit difficult hauling a large bag, 2 backpacks, a bag of random things we’ve accumulated over 2.5 weeks, and a stroller. Definitely not enough of an issue to deter most guests.

I would prefer to rate our stay as a 9.5. This apartment is in an older building, but has been completely redone and is very nice on the inside. It has all you would need for cooking and laundry. There is a nice bakery and small grocery nearby and it is very convenient to the tram. It's about a 1.5km walk to the main square in the historical district which is an easy walk, but far enough away to be in a quiet neighborhood. Our host was amazing! Mariana greeted us personally to hand over the keys and even arranged for a private tour of Zagreb the next day and for a very early taxi ride to the airport on our last day. She double checked the morning our taxi was due to make sure that he was on his way and let us know when he arrived. Mariana really helped us enjoy our stay in Zagreb. The bed was comfy and the shower water was hot. The washer worked well and we were able to put the drying rack on the terrace to take advantage of the sun to dry our hiking gear quickly.

The apartment was a little smaller than we expected so with our large luggage, it was a little bit difficult to get around inside the apartment.
