Apartments Camellia & Magnolia

A lovely apartment in the middle of a wonderful harbour village. The hosts suzanna and nikola are extremely kind and caring. The apartment has a lovely balcony and is located perfectly for access to the sea and the old village alley ways.

The location is terrific: in the heart of traditional Volosko up the classic old steps from the sea next to the church, with its sonorous hourly bells. One window led onto lovely 2-person balcony with two views of the sea. The mother of Nikola. A delightful, terrifically helpful woman. She met us in the narrow road below the apartment on our arrival and very much helped us get up the stairs and in to the apartment. Then, on our departure six nights later, she came by when we were checking out and helped immeasurably in figuring out the best way to get our car closest to the apartment and even aided a lot in moving our heavy luggage to that spot. Even beyond her tangible helpfulness, she was a delight to be around.

Very little. We knew Volosko well, from having lived on its edge for three months five years previously, and still found it difficult at times to navigate the walkways down to the sea and to navigate the car in and out.

Host, location, apartment, everything is great.

Very nice home-like appartament and friendly owner. Good position in the center of the old town. Small but usable balcony with a sea view for morning coffea.

This apartment (and owner) is one of those that make you wish there was a higher rating than 10 for your stay. It was big - with a large bedroom with a king bed, large kitchen/dining/sitting room and a lovely balcony with nice views over the church/town and some of the sea. The owner Suzanna is wonderful - very friendly and chatty with excellent English (she has a connection to Canada...) and good information about Volosko and Opatija. She even shared a drink of really tasty home-made Rakija with us upon our arrival (and left the bottle... thanks!). At check-out, we were pressed for time to get to the bus station in Opatija and she kindly dropped us off - going way beyond what is expected of the apartment hosts. We already plan to stay here again for a longer vacation!! This was our favourite stay of the 5 places in Croatia and 1 in Venice. Robert & Carolyn from Canada
