Apartments Marebella

The property had everything you could need. Very very clean and well thought out.

Apartment Marebella is wonderful. Mark is a terrific host who met us on arrival and was very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. The apartment itself is actually brand new and built with very high-end finishes; it looks like an upscale big-city condo on the inside, with beautiful views from the terrace. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and very modern. The rooms are all very spacious and the bed is very comfy. It's a short walk to the center of Lumbarda and a very short drive to Old Town and to the car ferry from the mainland, though I highly recommend also going to other parts of Korcula Island for hiking, beaches and wine tastings. One restaurant I cannot recommend highly enough, and which is a very short walk from the apartment, is Konoba Skafetin. It was one of the best meals we've had anywhere in the world (but note it closes for the season later this week, about Oct. 15).

We were very impressed by the apartment, which came highly recommended. It exceeded expectations, as it was so spacious and well equipped. Mark greeted us on arrival and a bottle of wine was waiting on the table and beers in the fridge! He also delivered croissants on our first morning. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The apartment is a 20 min walk, or 10 min cycle to the centre of Lumbarda, which is small but very peaceful. We walked to Bilin Zal beach and Vela Przina beach, approx a 40min walk. There's a coastal promenade which starts at Bilin Zal. We stopped for lunch at 'Konoba Feral' (cash only) on our way back to Lumbarda. Our food was very tasty and we loved looking out onto Tatinja beach. The apartment balcony gets the morning, rather than late afternoon/evening sun, so unfortunately you can't see the sunset. However, the 'Gavuni' restaurant on the other side of the bay is a good spot for that. It's very popular, so get there early. The food is excellent too. Mark is a fantastic host, very kind and always on hand to help. We hope to return one day soon.

The only thing missing was a kettle, as we like a cuppa! A toaster would have been useful too. I think the location would have worked better for us if we'd had a car. It's a 20 min walk to the supermarket, some of which is on a main road, not ideal in the dark. However, there's a taxi rank in Lumbarda and bus stops on route.

Beautiful, well designed and constructed property, with views to a bay, close to beaches, quiet and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, very friendly and accommodating host Mark.

Great location, more laid back island a great place to relax unwind. Bus stop close by and walking distance to lovely places. Mark our host was so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended 10 out of 10!

10/10. The location is great and the property is new, clean and well equipped. Mark is a wonderful host - if you need something, he’ll get it for you.

A washer would be nice but we understand that can be a headache for rental owners. The clothes/drying rack was adequate for some hand washed laundry.
