Cozy apartment in center of Rijeka

This is the cleanest place I've ever stayed in. The apartment offers a charming view of the traditional alley and the building across the way. The vibe, from the staircase leading to the restaurant in the back, is delightful. The design is both beautiful and cleverly thought out.

Usually visitors only get to walk past the grand old neo-classical mansions of the city, wondering what they are like inside. Wonder no more! It’s a long climb up to the apartment with a heavy bag, but after that‘s dropped off the sweeping stone staircase with windows on all the landings is part of this building‘s appeal! After some time travelling, having a washing machine was a welcome perk, and the kitchen is great too. The sitting area, dining nook and big bed are all comfortable and the sounds of the street from down below are companionable rather than obtrusive.

With more than one person staying, there may not be enough hot water unless you shower at different times - or together! (The sink and basin seem to have only cold taps.) It takes a while to get the hang of one of the locks on your way in and out - until you do it‘s a bit alarming … but then you do!

Loved the room and the location,easy to walk everywhere and had a fun view of the town. Very clean and spacious.

Everything! This beautiful studio apartment is super clean, perfectly located and well equipped for a comfortable stay that feels like home. The host is very friendly and respond quickly to messages. We'll definitely choose here again when coming back to Rijeka.

We were able to check in earlier which was very convenient for us. The person who let us in was nice, there was everything in the apartment: washing machine (but no cleaning for it), blow dryer, drying rack, iron with an ironing board, dish washer with pods, all kinds of cutlery and knives, even a wine bottle opener, a filter koffie machine (but no filter or coffee was included), an electric stove with all kinds of pots and pans, a microwave, an air conditioner, a fridge, a tv and so much more. The location was perfect - next to the Main Street of the town but there’s a bar on the opposite side of street and it can get pretty noisy with the music and people. Sometimes we also experienced a lot of noise from road workers at 7 am but there’s nothing you can do. There are many small supermarkets in 5 min walking distance, cafes and bars, but the best beach is located 30 mins away from the apartment. Also, the apartment is on the 4th floor above a dentist office and there’s no elevator.

When we checked in, the room was not clean to my standards. There were still hairs on the floor from previous visitors, some dust and the towels didn’t seem properly washed. For the whole stay of 10 days we got 2 tiny bottles of shampoo/shower and 2 toilet paper rolls. This was obviously not enough so we had to buy it ourselves.
