Apartment Gobac

The location was outstanding, right across the street from Icici Beach. There was a grocery store and restaurants nearby. There was a Fitness center nearby in Opatija. The apartment had everything you could need for a 4 day stay. I liked the hosts dog "Nero".

I have mixed feelings about what I was sold. Even though the apartment was fine, it was not as I expected. There was no on-site parking; I had to park down the street and use a handicap vignette (I still got a parking ticket and explained to the host it was her problem because I was advertised parking; not sure if she will pay it or how that works) It was pouring rain when I arrived at 11:00 pm and there was no parking and it was quite a disaster to get the keys and get my stuff in and then have to drive down the street to park. The apartment was a basement; there was no natural light unless you kept the door open. This made it kind of depressing. I have work so I can't just be at the beach. The TV was located in a place where you could not view it from the bed, so I watched TV at night on my phone/laptop. The shower drain must have been plugged because the floor filled with water. The hot water for the sink was scalding hot but came out only Lukewarm in the shower. The A/C worked well, but it was difficult to change the temp, it took like 10 minutes for the remote to successfully activate a change. It was also really difficult to lock the door; had to set everything down and use two hands, and sometimes it didn't take, and you would have to start over as it had some type of automatic thing that was not automatic. The place was cluttered also; the photos make it look larger than it was. It was fine, but not worth what I paid. My review is probably skewed due to the parking issue though. The parking thing was definitely not cool and brought the value and experience down several points. You can't advertise parking and then that is not the case. I wanted to like this place more, but I didn't; it was a letdown considering the great reviews.

Mrs. Nada is a great host. We loved the apartment and the location, very suitable for visiting the nearby beaches and dine out in Opatija. We travel with our dog and we felt very welcome. There are several dog beaches nearby. We'll surely be back.

It was wonderful! Next year we will return to the same place, to Mrs. Gobac 💕 The apartment house is located on the street, everything is close: port, beach, bars and Lungomare promenade 😍 You cross the street and you have everything! Apartment very well equipped and very clean. Mrs. Gobac, the owner, lives in the same building, which is very important. She is a nice, very helpful lady :) She hosted us with wine and sweets for our son. Our son calls her "grandma" 🥰 We love this place and recommend it!

A very nice (kids and dog friendly) host and a wonderful, well equipped appartment. Just a few steps to the sea. We enjoyed our stay in the easter holidays. A good location for making tours along the coast.

Directly in front of the appartement is the main road along the coast. As the appartment bedrooms are in the same level than the main road, it is a little bit noisy - so nothing for peopls who really wants it quite.
