Bonaca

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful apartment with a stunning view. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a homemade drink made from grapes grown in the garden. We also received fresh tomatoes, peppers, and figs – all homegrown by the owner. Nothing was too much to ask the host was incredibly thoughtful and always willing to help or think along. It was great to have a car with us, as it allowed us to explore the charming villages nearby. There are also lovely little beaches in the area, perfect for swimming and relaxing.

Die Lage zwischen Fluss und Weinbergen ist wunderschön. Haus und Küche waren gut ausgestattet. Check In einfach und digital möglich. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt.

Achtung: Google Navi führt einen an die falsche Stelle (Flussseite gegenüber), und auch wenn man mal auf der richtigen Seite ist, ist die Einfahrt mangels Beschilderung schwer zu finden. Im Schlafzimmer wird es hell, weil man die Tür für die Klimaanlage offen lassen muss und der Wohnraum nicht gut abdunkelbar ist.

Staying at Bonaca was an absolute delight. The entire house, complete with a private garden, offers a unique experience where you can pick fresh figs, tomatoes, peppers, and mandarins straight from the garden. The location right by the river made for stunning mornings and romantic evenings. The spacious balcony, equipped with a table and four chairs, was the perfect spot to unwind. The kitchen was practical, with plenty of space and all the necessary appliances. The bed was incredibly comfortable, located in a separate, spotless room. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and there was even a plug-in mosquito repellent provided. However, I strongly recommend using mosquito spray if you plan to spend your evenings on the balcony, as the proximity to the river attracts quite a few of them. The peaceful surroundings, away from the crowds and close to nature, made for a truly relaxing stay. The hosts were wonderful—our host even treated us to his homemade liqueur, and we had a lovely conversation about life. The location is ideal for exploring Pelješac, Dubrovnik, the mountains, and Makarska, yet it remains a tranquil and less crowded area where you can experience the authentic Croatian lifestyle. The access road is steep, but I had no trouble driving up with my VW T-Roc, even with bikes on the rack. I will definitely be returning to this special place.

Amazing and peaceful location on the river. Very nice comfortable and clean apartment for those those who enjoy privacy. Very friendly and helpful hosts, we even got a complimentary plate of homemade fritule. Highly recommended!
