Basilica Dream Home In The Absolute Center

Budapest was lovely, and the three days we had was not enough to explore all the city had to offer. But we were pleased to leave the apartment because of the noise and dust.

Comfort should have been better. The host failed to notify us of CONSTRUCTION WORK in the apartment next door prior to our arrival. BEWARE - should you book this apartment please ask host (UandB Homes management Budapest) if there is any construction work in the building. During our stay of three nights builders in the apartment next to the master bedroom started work at 7am- this was not light building works - this was construction work, drilling, pulling plaster off walls, talking loudly etc) - so loud we thought the dividing wall was being pulled down. In fact we heard them rumbling around 6:45AM as they brought their tools up, sneezed and coughed their guts up as they entered the destruction zone. We messaged the host who was apologetic - they did not know the neighbour was doing this work. The host did not visit us to investigate. I got the impression that this happens a lot in these old apartment blocks owned by different people, so I appreciate the host has no control over this. But they could have visited and sorted it out. But they didn't. This was their response: 1. The builders should work within the house rules - but the host as property owner did not make this happen 2. They said we could check out if we wanted to and they would refund us - clearly this was a not an option for us as we did not have anywhere else to stay. The host did not appreciate we were a family on holiday to Budapest for three days, and did not have a home within the city we could escape to. The response from the host should have been to offer us one of their other properties from their portfolio at UandB Homes. We contacted Bookings.com who have no capacity to provide assistance, as they are the agent only. This case is on going and as yet unresolved with Bookings.com

Clean and comfortable

Excellent location,nice neighborhood. Clear instructions for shelf check in. Excellent staff, when a problem occurred, they were friendly and came up with solutions. The apartment was clean and fully occupied!!! Also the paid transfer service was excellent and on time with an Excellent driver 👍 Trust to choose this place

To consider having shower soap and shampoo, instead of a liquid soap for any usage. Also considering to have cleaning service for over 2 nights stay.

The apartment was beautiful, in the heart of the city centre . Close to the Deak ferenc street, fashion street Very nice restaurants and bars just at the door step I’ll definitely come back

Perfect location, right by Basilica. Public transportation is very easy to get to.

One of the bathrooms smelled of sewage. Was told it had to do with rain water and old pipes in the building, made it very uncomfortable to stay in the bedroom adjacent to that bathroom making the stay quite cumbersome.

Very easy to get to and from the airport. Great location. Within walking distance of all the main sights and great restaurants.

The kitchen could do with more cups, crockery and cutlery. Otherwise, we were provided with everything needed.
