NEW Central and Convenient

The neighborhood was friendly and very active. It was close to many famous bars in Budapest and there are a lot of young people around. The property overall was good but not very clean.

It wasnt very clean.

We had a wonderful accommodation at the apartment, it was very nice and comfortable. We had a problem with the room when we got in it wasn’t cleaned from the previous visitors but the host was fast and super nice about helping us and get it cleaned as fast as possible so there isn’t anything bad to say everything was awesome.

The only con is no natural light

Position, cleanliness, staff

Lovely apartment. One bedroom on its own and one bed in the main room sharing with the kitchen. Quite spacious. Everything worked well, handover of key etc was all seamless. Location is fantastic. Busy Street with loads of restaurants and bars. Only around the corner from the latest opening bar/club in budapest, instant fogas. 24 hr convenience store across the road.

Shower has no holder for the shower head.

Fantastic communication from the host, he was very responsive to messages at all times. The location is around a 10 minute walk to Deak Ferenc Ter where the airport bus drops off & picks up passengers, you can also get the 16 bus to Fisherman's Bastion from there (though locating the right stop can be tricky). The apartment is a direct line walk to the Grand Synagogue & walking distance to many other sites. There is a big Spar shop a 3 minute walk from the apartment & there are restaurants close by. The street itself is part of the party scene so there are bars & snack bars in the immediate vicinity. There is an air conditioning/heating unit in the main living area of the apartment & although there are no instructions for using it, it's easy to work out & was much needed in the hot weather. The beds are large & comfortable enough

The area immediately around the apartment can sometimes feel a bit sketchy, there's LOTS of graffiti & it generally feels a bit run down. There are lots of people milling around outside at night seemingly making use of the bar scene, so it can be noisy & busy outside the building when returning in the evening. The internal communal entrance smells bad because the main bins are situated in the hall, also, the apartment itself smells musty no matter how much it is aired. On arrival there was a mop bucket filled with used water just inside the apartment doorway & the fridge & some of the crockery was not properly clean. Because the apartment is on the ground floor next to the stairs in a residential building, from 06.00 onwards it is very noisy with doors banging & other loud sounds, making sleep impossible (the primary reason we gave it a 6/10 rating, but 6.5 would have been more accurate). The water pipes throughout the building are also very loud when used. All the windows are only meters away from the high walls of the rest of the building, so natural light can't get in. It can be disorientating not knowing what time of day it is or what the weather is like. There is no storage in the apartment, all the drawers & the wardrobe shown in the photos are filled with things already. The shower has very good pressure, but it is not attached to the wall as pictured & you have to use it as a hand held shower. The pillows are square shaped like a cushion & so soft that you end up almost flat when using them
