Charming & Unique Apartment in Budapest Vibrant City Center

Our stay in this unique apartment was okay, but we expected it to be much better. Bed sheets were clean and bathroom was relatively clean (a bit dusty). Wi-Fi was great! The apartment was within walking distance of most sights, as well as the metro station. Finally the host was helpfull and provided a fix for our most imminent problem (see below).

Upon arrival the kitchen/ dining area was gross. most of the cutlery, plates and pans, as well as the table were greasy. There was a puddle of water in the freezer compartment of the fridge. Two frying pans were worn out and we were missing a smaller cooking pan. Luckily the host was understanding and provided us with new pans after our first night. In the bathroom the doors of the shower cannot be fully closed, because of that water is leaking onto the bathroom floor. Ventilation in the bathroom was not working? The light in front of the apartment was broken, which made using the key locker and key hole a bit challenging. We also discovered quite a few ants in the apartment. Finally the space feels a bit cramped. For 2 people the apartment is fine, for 3 or more adults we wouldn’t recommend it.
