Very helpful owner Great apartment close to Pecs town centre

The apartment is cozy, clean, comfortable, and close to the Pecs city center, which gave us access to restaurants and historic areas... The hosts were very friendly, helpful, responsive, and cooperative.

The beds were a bit small for the men in our family. It would have been good if we knew the apartment was on the 3rd floor when we made the booking and a small sitting area would have been nice. We could have used a bit more towels than was provided, and some basic cleaning supplies. Having said this, We STILL REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY, AND WOULD DEFINITELY COME BACK TO STAY AT MARIA APARTMENTS..

The apartment is perfectly located near to the city square (restaurants, Tom’s Market, Arkard Mall, etc.) and a Bubbles laundry about 10 minutes walk away. The apartment we rented was on the top floor with lovely views of church and building tops. It looks recently renovated, so has a wonderful modern and clean feel. Peter and David, our hosts, we so kind and helpful.

Four flights of stairs with 4 heavy suitcases was not fun😄. However, once we reached the top, the apartment was worth the exercise! Like many apartment blocks, the refuse room is right at the entrance door to the apartment block. This is unfortunate as the smell that greets you is horrendous. This does not affect Mária Apartment at all - thank goodness (too far away), but it is something to bear in mind if you are sensitive to smells. If you are staying for an extended period of time, as we did, you obviously have to take your refuse to this room, so, brace yourself. [Just a side note: the water in Hungary is “hard” and leaves chalky mineral deposit stains on the kitchen sink and around the bathroom. This can eventually block drains. Being obsessed with cleanliness, I used a vinegar-based product purchased from Tom’s Market as well as 20% vinegar from the Spar. Works like a charm!]
