Klarahome 2 Bedroom Apartment

Great hostess, great location, well kept room that is larger than most hotels. It's a great value and I would recommend it for small to medium sixed families (five people or less).

One bathroom lacked a shower curtain so water sprayed all over the bathroom. This is common in Europe; I don't know why. Elevator for the building is a little tricky. Sometimes it responds to calls... sometimes it doesn't. But that's not the fault of the apartment owner.

Location was perfect with several food options very close by

We liked Klara apt. It is through a gateway leading off the main street. The entrance after that isn't that promising- through a hallway stacked with refuse containers and then up 4 floors in a rickety lift which will only take 2 people at a time. And 3 double locked doors. But when you get to the apartment is a lovely restored apartment to modern standards. So it's worth the journey. Location is excellent - once you get out onto the street restaurants to the right and left of you (we most liked TG opposite). Pay in Huf's if you can everywhere - the exchange rates in most places to Eu are rip-offs. Watch also for the mandatory service charge of up to 20% almost everywhere. The Danube and the Basilica in either direction - note the Chain bridge is closed so to get to the other side use tram 2 either way to get to the next bridge and walk or tram across. But first buy metro tix at a metro station. The airport transfers via Booking.com were excellent and cheap.

It would have been nice to have had a late check out (the apartment was empty) but Klara was kind enough to allow us to leave our bags in the passageway which helped. Note if you want a late night massage there are ladies at the crossroads who will help you out. Some of the other tenants were of dubious qualities but once locked away in the apartment we felt entirely safe.
