Central Budapest Apartment

The flat is nice, it's duplex actually and the stairs are bit tricky but it's okay. The flat is on great location, near the flat is the main street with restaurants. It was clean. It is great that their is pair of keys.

It was too hot in the rooms and there was no way to turn it off. I didn't like that there were no trash bins on second floor so for everything you need to go down in the kitchen.

Although on BOOKING is advertised as CENTRAL BUDAPEST APARTMENT (without S, in singular) in fact it seems that there are 2 apartments from same owner.....the pictures you see on Booking are from both apartments but there is no way that you can understand this!!! So, we booked the apartment based on the pictures we saw and when we arrived there we were told that the pictures are from the other apartment!!! Felt really cheated !!! I have attached 2 pictures - one from Booking site and one from the actual apartment - so that you can see the difference.

There was always a very bad smell from drains that made you want to throw up all the time, the apartment had a different sofa than the pictures which had a lot of stains, the bed is very low and the one side has a metal and a book under for support, so you will have a back pain after the first night. The apartment has only one plug near the bed but you can’t charge your phone and use it at the same time, the led lights didn’t work, if by mistake you dirty the towels with make up or something there is a case to pay for their replacement and one day there was an electricity break down so we couldn’t do anything and beacause the bathroom hasn’t any window it was very difficult to get ready without the lights and also because the entrance has a code to get in there was no way to get back to the apartment without the electricity.

The apartment was in a great location. Very easy to walk to from the airport bus stop and transport links. Ground floor meant no lugging luggage so very easy for that. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms were generously sized. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water.

The biggest thing you need to be aware of is that the stairs inside the apartment are VERY steep and narrow - more like a ladder than stairs. This was tricky, especially at night when you needed the toilet, which was on the ground floor. The flat would also be more comfortable with a few easy additions... there was no surface near couch to put drinks or anything on.
