Corvinus Smart Apartment with Beautiful View

The property looks good and it was clean. The location is also perfect, close to take aways, shops and the tram line.

Smart systems sound good on paper, but if something gets broken, it can be really annoying. We didn't have air conditioning for 1 night and we couldn't control it during our whole stay. I had to ask the customer service over the phone to turn on/off. It was a really bad experience, especially now while it's 38 degree outside. I would suggest to the owner to leave remote controllers for the AC in case of emergency.

Lovely and light and spacious. Air conditioning and 2 bathrooms and good beds made it a comfortable stay. Wifi is great too. Big TV and nice sofa used during UEFA Football. Location also great. Walk or short taxi ride takes you anywhere quickly.

The home automation needs some better instructions. AC often too cold... but its really just a minor problem.

Huge apartment, modern, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Beds very comfortable, great shower, big TV and comfortable couch. Really, really lovely and warm, too. Really perfect location - out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Pest but with about eight or ten different bus/tram/lines within 3 or 4 minutes walk of the front door. Supermarket, tobacconist, restaurants and bars right on the doorstep and plenty more five minutes' ride away in Terézváros. I wouldn't want to have to do any serious cooking in the kitchen but for simple meals it's fine and the fridge/hob/dishwasher/microwave all work perfectly. All in all, pretty much faultless.

There was a bit of a mix-up with the washing machine which was advertised in the apartment amenities but not actually available. A couple of messages with the apartment manager, though, was all it took to sort it out. The kitchen isn't stocked at all so you'll need to get oil, tea, coffee and so on. There were some sugar cubes and we bought some salt and left it, but that was about all.

This is an exceptional apartment, very warm even in a cold December and comfortable. The apartment must have been refurbished recently and the decor and furnishings are in great condition, of good quality, and modern. It is very well equipped too. The apartment is in an historic block so the common parts are more traditional so don't be put off by that when you arrive. We loved being in an old historic block. The trams run within a very short walk from the block along both sides of the Danube so getting to Castle Hill or over to Pest was very easy. We also found a convenient luggage store nearby via radicalstorage.com for our last day.

Check in was said to be between 17.00 and 19.00 (check out 10.00 - 13.00) so we used the Booking.com 'request a late check in' facility. No reply. Then tried again but still no reply. In the end we rang customer services and check in at 20.00 was agreed verbally. We assumed from this that there was a reception desk or that someone would arrive to let us in but, no, there was a keybox! We got a message via Booking.com with the entry door (x2) code - remember to key in all seven digits - one is a symbol but written as a word in the message. After that entry via the key box was easy. However the message only arrived on the day we arrived and luckily I had switched on data roaming so be sure to check for this if it hasn't arrived when you set off. That was the only downside to the apartment. All the rest was excellent.
