Close to the centre, comfy and cute. AC was amazing!!

Not the owners fault, but you have to get used to the smell in the washroom.

The interior is quote modern, the bathroom is functioning and the bed is very comfortable! A big benefit is the breakfast voucher to a nearby bakery - went there and both coffee and pastries were amazing!

All necessary information was shared exclusively in Hungarian, which we ofc translated via Google Traslate but seemed as an oversight to me. The tap water smells of sulphur (rotten eggs), which apparently is no health hazard, as it is only due to minerals in the water (think spa and wellness). However, for myself, the smell during showering was quite uncomfortably strong. My partner didn’t find it too unappealing though. He also drank it and was fine, so I’d just like to share the info about the smell. The flat is inside a small shopping centre with a street lamp right in front of the window without any blinds that would block the light out.

The apartment is really central. Kaposvár's oldtown can be discovered from here easily. The central train and bus stations are also pretty close.

There were no shower creme/gels so I had to purchase it. Normally this stuff is available in the bathroom.

The location was excellent being just s few hundred metres from Kaposvar’s beautiful town square and all the facilities clustered in that area. A short walk, say 15 mins, from the railway station. While the bathroom was quite small the facility was good, bed was comfy and room for luggage etc.

We would have scored the property a 10 except for the hot water having a peculiar smell. Unfortunately for the hosts we were informed by a local this is common issue. If you run the hot water for a time it will dissipate but not disappear completely.

The tap water smelt so bad, like old and rotten pipe water, but it is not necessarly the apartment’s mistake. Might be the city’s.
