Budapest Luxury Apartments

Unbeatable location. Spacious and well furnished. Incredibly quiet considering proximity to main shopping street. Host communicated well. Lift in the apartment building. Very good value for money.

Unfortunately we had an issue with the heating that the host was unable to resolve which led to us struggling to sleep every night. The central heating in the apartment is not controlled by the host and was on fully all the time (in fact the water in the radiators was so hot you couldn’t comfortably touch them) which led to the apartment being unbearably hot. When we were in the flat we opened all the windows until we went to sleep but then didn’t feel comfortable leaving them open as they lead to a shared walkway (we did keep the bedroom ones open behind the shutter but this didn’t feel ideal!). We used the fan supplied to try and keep cool at night but this didn’t cool us enough and was also quite noisy. All quite silly when you consider it was -1 degrees outside and very bad for the environment! If the host is unable to control the central heating coming on and off, she should install simple valves on the radiators so these can at least be controlled by the people in the flat. It was a real shame as everything else was very good and would be incredible value but hard to recommend our stay as we didn’t sleep well at all.

Excellent location, and all facilities provided in the apartment. There is a full kitchenette and a grocery shop open till 1 AM, just below the apartment. However make sure to buy your alcohol,if any prior to 10 PM as that is the rule. The Christmas market at Vorosmarty Ter was next door literally and the Fashion Street was also very close. Just a short walk down to the Danube River and connectivity with public transport is excellent. Don't miss the hot chocolate at the Lindt store, only a short walk to the right of the apartment. The taxi from the Budapest Nyugati station will probably not stop right at the door(it didn't for us, not sure if the road was closed due to the Christmas Market), so you may have to walk a few metres, but that should be okay considering the area is pretty suitable for walking.

The bathroom floor has no drainage as such and you have to shower in the bathtub which only has a curtain - it's easy to get the floor wet and we didn't see any cleaning done for the 2 nights we were there. So that is one aspect you'll have to be mindful of. Also, there was just one tiny bottle of shower gel provided which definitely wasn't enough for the two nights we stayed. And we didn't get any view from the window.

Location is amazing, every where is close to the apartment. Apartment was spacious and very nice.

the building is old, so is the elevator and smells on the entry hall and on the stairs up until 2nd floor (nothing to do with the apartment which is modern and clean)

- Really central location, everything was in easy walking distance. - Apartment was very quiet despite being on such a busy street. - Apartment was really well equipped, cooking utensils, washing machine, ironing board, hairdryer etc. - Everything was very clean and despite the corridors & lift looking a bit sketchy it did feel quite safe.

- The apartment had no air conditioning, which as it was 32 degrees during our stay, was very uncomfortable. - The bed was very hard, with really bad pillows. - Despite the listing stating there was luggage storage, we were only offered to keep bags in a shared corridor, which we often found other guests had left the door open. Not very secure!

Location was perfect. The apartment was clean with a great shower a comfortable bed and lots of good quality towels. Even though you’re in the center of the city, once you go in that front door, it is quiet and peaceful! We loved everything about this property!!
