Boiler was broken and there was no hot water to shower! Contacted the owner to fix it but it was not possible! I was promised a refund for the inconvenience but he is not answering since then!

Huge apartment, good location, close to metro station. Apartment has everything what you need.

This is a large open apartment, comfortable for 2 people. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes, utensils, coffee pot and kettle. The air-conditioning worked well. The bed is a large king size bed with electrical outlets on both sides. The TV worked well and had a few English news channels, Netflix and Amazon Prime. The apartment was clean and had a larger than average refrigerator with freezer. The bedroom had a nice side makeup table with mirror and light for the ladies. There was also a full length mirror in kitchen. The bathroom is large and has an electrical outlet near the sink. The washer and dryer is a one-piece unit. The washer works well and goes directly to dry on the correct setting. The dryer dries to about 80% and a drying rack provided does the rest. There was plenty of hot water for showers. There were tons of small pillows on the couch. The unit is located within 1 block of three different grocery stores, the Metro Line #2 stop at Astoria with trains every 3 minutes and a major bus stop that has many different buses stopping every 8-10 minutes. Public transportation is very cheap, easy to use and reliable. There are tons of take away food options within 1 block including Pizza, Korean, Greek, Kabobs, Mexican and Hungarian. There is a food truck area on the next block that has more take-a-way food. The apt is located on the +1 floor with an elevator for luggage use or an easy 1 story stair climb.

The hot water heater went out twice during our 3 week stay and management had to come and fix it. It seems like there is a repetitive problem here that should be addressed. The street below is very noisy as it is a major party area for young people and stag parties. The noise goes on all night long every Friday and Saturday night until 5am. The area is somewhat noisy on other nights too. Bring your white noise machine and good ear plugs (wax) if you want a good night sleep. The bed sheets are too small for the bed and come untucked and a mess immediately. The bed needs a proper fitted king size sheet (the one with the elastic band to hold the bottom sheet down) and a king size top sheet. There are 4 bed pillows, but only 2 pillowcases. The mattress was hard. This apartment needs a better mattress and proper bed sheets for a 10 rating. The unit also needs a broom. The bath towels are mediocre. The host only provided 2 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels and 2 packets of shampoo and soap for our 3 week stay. We had to purchase toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent, soap and shampoo. Managment is not available after 11pm. Our plane arrived after midnight, and we were locked out the first night of our reservation. (The bottom lock was incorrectly locked somehow.) It took 8 hours to get the door open. (They did refund our money for this night.)

The building that host the flat is quite old. A sign outside the building would be helpful as well
