Amazing Kazinczy Flat No. 1 Budapest

Entrance to the yard at the property is horrible and dirty. The property itself is very clean and nice.

The property is very cozy; although, it was a bit difficult climbing up the stairs to get the top floor. Other than that, the place was wonderful. It is super close to many bars and great restaurants. Definitely a great place for a small group of 2-3 people.

After a long flight, it took about 45 minutes to contact someone to provide me with the numbers and instructions for the lockbox. The phone number provided by Booking.com was not answering.

The apartment has everything you need, the beds are comfortable (but quite small, so be aware of that) communication with the owner was very quick and kind. The area is the well-known “party area” but we didn’t hear anything - although we were staying for NYE. 😊

As the apartment is on the ground floor, the outdoor lights (the sensor light) are shining right in the apartment even with the curtains fully closed. It was blinking in the middle of the night as well.

The apartment was a decent size and fully matching the pictures. Everything was clean and the fact that the living space and the sleeping space were clearly split was excellent. The beds were really comfortable and inviting. The apartment is in the center of the city, so it was very easy to get to various places of interest. We had coffee from our hosts, which was something that my husband loved.

Even though it states it offers parking, the parking is on the streets, if you find an available space somewhere (not on the street in front of the building, which is pedestrian only). Even though we found a parking spot, we did so because my brother that occupied another apartment arrived first and informed us. Also, somehow the temperature in our apartment was 27+ degrees and in my brother's 20 something. We are more 21-22 degrees type of people and they are more 23-24. We closed all heating systems and had to open windows to bring everything at a reasonable temperature, and even like this it was very warm in the sleeping area. This is not a real minus, but we were so sorry to waste so much energy (we would have switched the apartments if we were not 3 hours behind them)
