The place was just beautiful, Aisling the host was so friendly and kind ,she even dropped us into Naas. I will definitely return again.

Beautiful setting. Such a calm oasis after the journey there. Really wish we had the opportunity and time to relax and enjoy the garden. Was a joy seeing the alpacas. Owner’s very friendly and welcoming

Nothing. Place was perfect for what we were using it for. Only very small thing is if you want to have a cup of tea before getting shopping in, bring some milk. Otherwise kitchen well equipped

Comfortable, tastefully decorated and clean. The gardens and grounds are beautiful. The hosts were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Even the alpacas were friendly!

We found it difficult to find, though that could have been my navigation skills! The only other drawback was the noise of the nearby road.

Cheese, wine, friends & alpacas under the trees.. We booked The Mews for a friends’ getaway to mark our 11th anniversary, and it exceeded every hope we had for a peaceful, soul-soothing escape. Tucked behind a long private drive lined with alpacas, it truly felt like we were entering a little secret existance — one that manages to be both beautifully remote and conveniently located. The house itself is far more spacious than the photos suggest, with a cosy-modern style that instantly feels like home. The hosts have nailed that tricky balance of luxury and comfort, with soft furnishings, thoughtful touches, and even fresh snippings from the garden arranged in a vase on the kitchen counter. It’s these small details that make the place feel truly cared for. There’s a real sense of nature all around – from the gardens to the animals to the peaceful walks – it feels like a little sanctuary. Highly recommended if you’re looking for somewhere calm, comfortable, and full of charm! Leo and Aisling were wonderful hosts – super friendly and helpful, and they truly made us feel right at home. The house itself is beautiful: spacious, full of natural light, and spotlessly clean. Thoughtful touches like tea, coffee, and bottled water waiting for us made it even more welcoming. This isn’t just a holiday let; it’s a place of respite. Think Cameron Diaz’s countryside escape in The Holiday, but with better weather and better company. We’ve already agreed this will be our venue for future reunions — and we’re equally tempted to come back in winter to experience the place in its seasonal glory.
