Mews with garden views

Martina and family were delightful. They spent time to chat and shared a lot about their family, Ireland, nature and everything else. I felt like I was with family. They were available for any questions or recommendations. The house is immaculate, very neat, clean, fully stocked with utensils and anything else you would need. There were welcoming eggs, water, tomatoes, bread, coffee, tea , chips, granola bars and more. I wish I had more time to spend in the area. Their hospitality went a far way into elevating my experience here in Ireland. Her husband is warm and engaging and full of information on bees, birds, nature and current affairs. I could spend hours and hours listening to him. The location is excellent as a base to visit places on the east side of Ireland. Already miss it.

Mews is in a quiet location just outside of the picturesque village of Rathvilly. With just a short stroll, you can hang out at the excellent Lawlor's Bar or grab some coffee and breakfast at The Green Lemon. However, don't feel like you will need to leave the property to enjoy your stay! The apartment is equipped with a kitchen and laundry facilities, and the garden and orchard are varied and well-maintained, with areas for activity and leisure. Furthermore, Martina and Mervyn were lovely and more than accommodating, even surprising us with fresh pastries and groceries! If you need a break from the busy cities of Ireland, or simply want to experience the full charm of small town life in Ireland, look no further than Mews! P.S.: We traveled in a party of three, and the space (one bedroom and one living space with kitchen) was plenty big. The pull-out bed in the sofa was comfortable, if a little short for a 5'11" individual.
