Johnston House: Historic Village Retreat

So comfortable and fun. Hosts were super nice! They provided staple groceries items for breakfast after our late night arrival. So appreciated.

Everything was more than expected.

Es lagen Äpfel, Bananen, Kekse + Chips auf dem Esstisch, Kaffee + ein richtig gutes Brot, im Kühlschrank war Butter, Käse und einige weitere Lebensmittel. Alles sehr liebenswert angerichtet, wir waren begeistert :-)

L’emplacement était parfait pour visiter les environs. L’appartement était très bien équipé et confortable pour 6 Adultes et 4 enfants. Les hôtes étaient très attentionnés et nous ont donnés pleins de bons conseils durant notre séjour.

Il n’y a rien que nous n’avons pas aimé. Peut-être que la terrasse pourrait être nettoyée.

Location was perfect, beautiful space, outdoor balcony at the back was great, loved all the art and quirky pieces throughout the home. Richard is very friendly and helpful.

Everything was great

Spacious accommodation with plenty of room, the friendliest hosts you could imagine, and the village is small enough that you feel right at home in just a few hours. The apartment has lots of interesting bits of history and arts and crafts throughout to give it a charming feel, and there is everything you need within walking distance. It is also a great place to base yourself for exploring Clare and Galway.

The Wi-Fi was a bit weak, but it worked well enough and mobile service in the area is perfectly satisfactory.

We wanted for nothing. Every comfort amenity was thought-out and provided. A large basket with a variety of foods and snacks was waiting for us. Our hosts were available and offered suggestions for local sights, dining and music! The beds were very comfortable. The lodging was spacious and comfortable. There is a lovely and spacious second-story patio. There were seven of us age 30-65, and we all loved the lodging and the town.

We liked everything.

Johnston House was a beautiful place to stay - myself and my family went down here for a week and had a great time! There was lots of space the kitchen/living area was our favourite area, lovely long breakfast table and kitchen had everything you needed.

The house location worked well for our family group. The host was responsive to our messages and gave timely guidance in terms of checking in. The kitchen was a good size and well stocked with practical items and the chairs in the lounge were comfortable. It was great to have two shower rooms. The town has several restaurants, pubs and coffee shops all in walking distance. Thank you too for the welcome basket!
