The Roost

Perfect property, perfect location, great communication with owners

Everything, loved decor,so close to city centre. All information available and on hand. Kitchen totally facilitate. Very private and spacious.

Only problem I had,I'm asthmatic and quilt and pillows were feathered, wrapped towels around them, I'm sure I could be facilitated but it was my problem. Lynda couldn't do enough.

The location was fantastic. The parking was really great and the cottage was nice and cosy.

Location was close to but not in the middle of town. This gave a nice walk after dinner or an evening at the pub. The home itself is comfortable, clean, and peaceful. Instructions are clear. The hosts are a true delight.

Location, cleanliness and aesthetic

This centrally located property is beautifully presented and exceeded our expectations. The host was friendly and spend a good amount of time having a chat. Everything about this property was fantastic.

There was nothing we didn't like,

We loved the position of the property, it was an easy walk to the centre of town. We loved the relaxed, secluded feel of the Garden Shed.

The only thing we didn't like was the roughness of the raw cotton/linen sheets. That being said understand the ecofriendly principles of the proprietors.

You will not always be welcomed with questions about how you might paint the outside of your accommodation but this typifies the friendly, informal greeting you WILL receive here. The Roost is a delightful cottage. It is, as the cliche says, small but perfectly formed. It is compehensively equipped whether you need to use the washing machine after a damp hike up Croagh Patrick or cook a restorative meal, foresaking the excellent restaurants of Westport. It looks like it has just been restored...immaculately clear and tidy. The bedroom has an enormous (there is probably a technical word) bed. It is unbelievably comfortable and the duvet and sheets are very special. It makes me sound as if I live in a cave but I really liked the feel of the bedding! Anyway, if you are visiting Westport or need a base to explore Mayo, this is the place (for two). If you are a bigger party they have a larger unit which appears of the same standard. I doubt I could praise this place or the welcome more. And I initially thought light blue but really it should be white. Visit Westport, stay here.

You know 'nothing'. But I would replace the shower head. I had one like that myself once and it is rubbish. it works until it doesn't and that tends to be pretty soon.
