Country Side Inn Portuguese Guest House

The house looks beautiful from OUTSIDE. There is beautiful garden in the property. There are balconies to sit.

- The train tracks are less than 100 meters from the property. Seemed like we were on a railway platform all the time. - Only two rooms have ensuite bathrooms. The rest of the 3 rooms do not have attached bathrooms and have to use separate bathrooms located away from the room. - The caretaker has no clue whatsoever on things. - The fans make noise. - The house is beautiful from outside but very commercial and unkept from inside. Doors don't close. Bathrooms dont have locks. - Very basic amenities with poor quality bedsheets and towels. - There is nothing nearby to buy groceries or food or anything and the kitchen is not even stocked with basic things like sugar.

Cool villa to stay. Owner (incharge) Olencio is a perfect gentleman.

There is one watchman called Vijay who is a cheater. He told us that there won't be food or hotels around this accomodation. Actually there is village center just 500 metres, opposite side of railway track (get over on foot) where you can find everything, including food and drinks.

Location was fine, though right next to the railway tracks, we had no sound from the trains passing by. There was ample parking albeit not in the premise but right outside.

Had we known that we could cook, we would have brought some basic provisions like bread, eggs and milk for breakfast. Not all bedrooms have attached bathrooms. Bathrooms, anttached, are small too with not much space to keep dry clothes. Guess we didn’t read the fine print.
