The Mariners

The Mariners is in a perfect location for visiting not only Ayr itself but also for travelling around the Ayrshire coast. Free parking is a bonus and only a short 5 min stroll along the water into town. Welcome pack was a lovely surprise as well as the fresh flowers. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need. Lovely and clean and cosy! We enjoyed the location and enjoyed opening the patio doors in the living room and having a morning cuppa on the balcony, watching the world go by. Even in Feb! Lovely little find!

Fantastic place to stay. Feels like home! We stay for 4 nights and we couldn’t request more. The owner delay de check in due cleaning,(about 10 min) but this doesn’t bother us. Everything after was perfect. We love the view, close to city centre, near aldi and pubs.

Lovely, cozy, good size flat. Clean and warm. Well equipped kitchen had everything needed. Lovely comfy leather sofas in lounge. Really liked the location too overlooking the river. We parked right outside on the road although there's parking for residents nearby. Also liked that it was on the ground floor.

The mattress was a little too soft for us.

Lovely flat in a great location in the town centre . Lovely views from the balcony. Clean and well equipped and friendly host.

location of the property was great near local shops etc central to attractions - 10 mins or so from coo shed, 20 min walk from university walk would be great for dog owners! 10 min drive from Prestwick etc. cosy little flat. tea and coffee were provided nice little touches had everything you needed towels for shower etc. balcony area is lovely to sit at to relax. tv had Amazon fire stick so was good for night time. Really good parking. great location for a little holiday

noise from neighbours above only on one occasion but it's something to be aware off, random bits of food left in the freezer. some areas of the property are cleaner than others? bits off food left down the side of the fridge, used grill tray in cupboard

Prompt communication from owners, access instructions were timely and easy to follow. The box of chocolates and vase of fresh flowers was a lovely touch. The view over the bay was spectacular and watching the swans every evening was nice, also a friendly robin visited the balcony every morning so that was nice to watch with a cuppa. The rooms were spacious too with generous wardrobe space for longer stays, our travel cot fit perfectly in the double room and the highchair came in handy.

Some bin bags and a bin schedule would have been helpful but Aldi being less than a 5min walk up the street was handy.

Great location, very comfortable, fully equipped kitchen, lovely view!

Only downside was that there was no bin bag, so we had to improvise with smaller bags. Not a big issue
