Casa della Cattedrale

L'appartamento è molto bello, pulito e curato in ogni dettaglio, perfetto per 4 persone!! Posizione bellissima, proprio di fronte alla Cattedrale di Asti. Lo consiglio sicuramente!

L'unica peccato di questo appartamento è che si trova al terzo piano di un palazzo senza ascensore! Avevamo nostra figlia con le stampelle ed è stato un pò un disagio..

La casa è spaziosa, luminosa, pulita e in un'ottima posizione.

Non funzionava il calorifero del soggiorno.

Ottima posizione, praticamente in centro. Self check in facile e veloce. Casa dotata di tutto

I letti sono molto scomodi. In particolare il letto matrimoniale aveva un materasso in cui sprofondavi mentre la poltrona invece era durissima.

It‘s right in middle of „old“ Asti. View on cathedral. Very quiet, an occasional car is passing by on 1 side of square. Shops, cafes and restaurants in walking distance. The casa is well sized for two. Small fitted kitchen and living space (with airco) good bathroom (with washing machine) and large bedroom. Everything is clean and well kept. Ludovica is a good host: well organised and reachable.

A repeat of comments: it is on 3rd floor so yes, stairs but you get used to it. Balcony is small and at back of building. Finding a parking space nearby: you need a bit of luck. Watch out and read the many signs (in Italian): as an example, Piazza Catena is partly used as daily market space. The rate is 1,20€ per hour from 08:00 till 19:00 except on Sunday. The Casa is in a restricted vehicle zone. This said.. Asti is at your feet: bustling cafes and restaurants and dolce vita.

Location was great! Right in the middle of the historic centre. We liked Asti a lot. The property had everything you needed. Everything worked. It was comfortable. Great to have view of cathedral from bedroom.

The flat is located on third floor with a lot of steps on the stairs… bit hard work tho good for fitness. We had to carry our little dog each time… so this would not suit anyone with any physical disability or issues. It was fine for us.

Casa della Cattedrale boasts an exceptional location, situated right in front of Asti's Cathedral and just a few minutes' walk from the city center. The house is truly a gem—cozy, impeccably clean, and adorned with modern touches. Ideal for couples, it features a spacious bedroom complete with a convenient walk-in wardrobe. While we didn't utilize the kitchen's air conditioning (note: there isn't one in the bedroom, as far as I observed), it's a thoughtful addition. For those planning an extended stay, the apartment offers the convenience of a washing machine, although I couldn't find a drying rack for clothes. Overall, a delightful stay in a charming and well-appointed space.

While Casa della Cattedrale holds many charms, I did encounter a few shortcomings that are worth noting: - The apartment is situated on the third floor (considering ground level as zero), and unfortunately, there is no elevator. This may pose an inconvenience if you have heavy luggage or plan on carrying groceries up and down. - For those who rely on a stable internet connection, it's essential to be aware that the provided Wi-Fi is delivered through a 4G portable router ("saponetta wifi wind"), offering a tested download speed of 9Mbps and an unexpectedly faster upload speed of 37Mbps. - Another consideration is the presence of the cathedral's bells. While I didn't spend much time in the apartment, it seemed that they chime every hour, starting as early as 8 am. - The apartment's heating is not indepedent, but rather it is contingent on the building's heating hours. Arriving at night, we found the heating off, resulting in a particularly cold first night. - Keep in mind that, because of technical reasons, self-check-in is only allowed until 8 pm. - Accessing the apartment by car is not feasible as it is within the ZTL (limited traffic zone). Although parking spots are available a few minutes away, they tend to fill up quickly. On a positive note, the area appears to be safe for leaving the car overnight.
