Ella Country House

A lovely, simple apartment in a fantastic location with the most gorgeous view. It’s more like a home stay or B&B with an easy walk into the main town of Ella. Very helpful, kind and friendly staff.

We had a short but great stay. The view was absolutely amazing!! Very spacious and beautiful room. The location was perfect, it was only a few minute walk from the center. The host was very helpful as he arranged a tuk tuk ride and packed our breakfast to go because we had to leave early in the morning.

This place felt like a cozy cabin in the woods, very warm with amazing hosts who were very accommodating to our needs. Also the view and balcony is incredible!!

Maybe just a little bit noisy from the buses and trucks that pass by - however this is not a big issue for us

Das Zimmer ist selbst 10€ auf gar keinen Fall wert. Der Taxi bzw. Tourservice vom Hotelbesitzer ist ebenfalls überteuert, diesen sollte man nicht verwenden. Es gab nur 2 Badetücher. Zimmerservice existiert nicht. Zimmer roch modrig. Absolut nicht empfehlenswert. Matratzen sind vorhanden, jedoch wohl eher nur zur Deko, da sie keinen Komfort bieten Die größte Frechheit ist, dass der Betreiber einen bei einer schlechten Bewertung über Whatsapp zuspammt und obendrein bei booking behauptet, dass die Bewertung nicht der Wahrheit entspricht!!!

The view from the balcony was amazing. Breakfast served at the balcony was very tasty and I was offered a free dinner by the host on my last evening; so kind! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Amazing view over the Ella gap. Thivagar really made our experience; he was extremely friendly, helped with any request and prepared an amazing dinner and breakfast for us on the balcony. There are many hotels in Ella but this one felt like home!

It’s a 10 minute walk from the restaurants, but a 3 min tuktuk ride which made it easy!

More of a hotel than guesthouse. Staff was great and were waiting on our arrival. Room was spacious and had a private balcony with a beautiful view of Ella Rock. Room had all amenities (A/C, refrigerator, mosquito net, etc). The staff were very attentive and provided a delicious breakfast to our balcony every morning exactly at the time we requested every morning. They also set up tuk tuk travel to all of the biggest attractions in Ella for a fair price. Then they set us up with a great private transfer company that took us to our next destination by private car. Their recommendation was so good we have continued to use the company for the rest of our travels in Sri Lanka. The hotel is also located within walking distance of many restaurants, bars, cafes, and a grocery store.

The only bad thing was that they were fully booked out and we couldn’t extend!
