Iriana Suites

Stunning room and views were unbelievable. An amazing experience. Staff all amazing. They left a cake and wine in our room for my husbands birthday. Cocktails in the cafe are a must to. It was such a lovely time there. Breakfast on your terrace was a lovely touch to. Thank you Iriana suites.

Location

Our family was split. One room on top floor and the other was 4 floors below. Not ideal for family vacation. The kids room was next to a suite that was gutted down/ under some construction. Not the best view from their roof top. The pictures on the website did not match the room in person. Very deceiving

* The location on Santorini and the nearby view is beautiful (though we had to lug our own 3 suitcases uphill for 10 minutes and multiple flights of stairs to check-in since there is no nearby parking and no one from the hotel bothered to tell us that the road accessing the hotel is always closed to cars). * The custom-made breakfast brought to our room was delicious.

The online description was very misleading about our room. It said it has a private patio and private hot tub. I even emailed after booking to confirm that, and they confirmed. It turns out that this meant a small section of the patio on a different floor from our room (i.e. not attached) that had a chain that marked one hot-tub as "Room 401 use only." Another similar hottub for another room was 10 feet away without any wall or privacy. While I understand that technically this was a "private hot tub" only for our use, this was not at all what the online description suggested, and when I emailed to confirm that we had our own patio and hot-tub, they said yes. The honest thing would be to say, "You don't have a private area - you have an unattached patio with hot-tub that is marked only for your use, but on another floor of the hotel." That's entirely different. We have two kids, and our plan was to put them to bed and then relax on our personal attached patio and hot-tub. That was impossible to do. We told the manager this was not what we expected and what we paid $750 dollars a night for. She did not acknowledge that the website or emails were at all misleading. She did try to offer us an alternative room with its own attached patio and hot-tub, but it was a room with only one bed, so impossible for a family of 4. They also were not willing to give us a discount despite the circumstances. So bottom line - this whole experience (and carrying our own luggage all across town to check in) really soured us on the hotel. The website could very easily be honest about this and say "Standard Apartment hot tub is not attached and is on a different floor of the hotel, and marked by a chain." Obviously they don't say that because it sounds much less attractive than "private patio with private hot tub." We would not have stayed here if they had made this clear.
