Hygge House Bled

Fantastic, hill-side location overlooking Lake Bled. We ate breakfast on the balcony each morning. The apartment itself is very comfortable, spacious and well furnished. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return. Our hosts were very welcoming and attentive when we had a query about the heating.

The shower drain was clogged

great location, amazing view of the lake. the place had everything we could need in the kitchen and bathroom. there were also plenty of board games and entertainment options for a rainy day. very clean and cosy.

Very well equipped, clean, comfortable and lots of personal touches making it a real home from home. The view from the window across the lake was stunning. Easy to access having been provided with the key code up front. A fantastic place to stay and within walking distance to all amenities.

The view from dining table area on the deck/balcony was breathtaking. I was quite reluctant to go out sightseeing as I didn't want to miss a second of that magnificent view of Lake Bled and the island in the middle. Our ground floor apartment was beautifully furnished. I'd like the owners to come and furnish my house! The kitchen was very well equipped with a dishwasher, nice glasses and crockery and all you would need. There are also many thoughtful extras in the home such as lovely candles, nice throws and blankets, books, quality shampoo, slippers, travel maps and brochures, etc. The location is perfect - on the hillside above the lake but only 10 minutes walk down to the lake side. It's at the opposite end of the lake from the town but only about 30 minutes walk, along the lake side, to the start of Bled town. Being at the opposite end is an advantage as the town is very busy and commercialised. Hygge House is 5 minutes walk from Bled Jezero railway station, the main station for the town. NB The ground floor apartment has a good sized balcony/deck (with dining table and four chairs) overlooking the lake, the upstairs apartment has a smaller balcony facing the street. See my photos. Go for the ground floor one if you can and want the most beautiful view when in the fresh air on the deck. The upper apartment will also have a great view but from indoors as their smaller balcony faces the street. Hygge House is without a doubt one of the nicest properties we've stayed in in forty years of travelling the world.

That we could only stay four days and not forever!

The apartment was beautifully furnished, with lots of light, open space. The view of Lake Bked from the property was stunning; we enjoyed our breakfast, lunch and evening meals on the balcony, taking in the wonderful surrounding. The proximity to Bled Jezero station was also a huge plus point, as we were carrying heavy rucksacks. This property was the perfect end to our hiking trip in the Julian Alps, we can not fault this accommodation.

The space was absolutely beautiful, roomy, and comfortable. The view of Lake Bled was INCREDIBLE and I looked forward to waking up to it each morning. Everything was clean and well-stocked; very welcoming and warm.

We were in desperate need for an iron (we traveled from Los Angeles to Lake Bled for a wedding and our clothes needed to be ironed after the long travel)
