BELVEDERE SUITE

Stay away here please. We are very disappointed with this tiny, worn-out studio. Everything is in dire need of a very thorough renovation. The walls are full of damp stains, the ceiling is cracked, the windows are worn and rattle (repaired with a wad of paper) the room and the bed smell bad, the old toilet is a leaking waterfall (bathroom with a constant wet floor) and there is no storage space for clothes, you can barely walk around the thin bed, there are neighbours walking on the terrace that is supposedly private,… It is extremely hot under the roof, more than 40• inside and it is impossible to stay in the studio for more than half an hour. Leaving the windows open at night or when we are away for a while is also not allowed, because people could possibly walk on the so-called « private terrace » the owner said. Normal sleeping is problematic due to the cheap thin and small mattress and due to the extreme heat inside under the roof, (no airco) with no open windows.

There is nothing renovated about this small hot studio, only some new paint and some furniture was new. We paid 340€ for 2 nights because it looked very nice. The terrace is in the hall, not in the apartment and other people have access to it. We have never booked a property in such a dilapidated and bad condition, with a price this high. The advertisement seemed very promising. So we wanted to pay well for a proper apartment. But there is nothing proper about this, this is very wrong and we think that this dilapidated property is certainly not worth more than 75€/n per night. We feel cheated on, with this much too expensive price and we expected a refund for this, but the owner ghosted us and did not answer our communication. We left early and did not hear anything back.

Location good for all Faro attractions. . Roof terrace with views through windows.

Some traffic noise until quite late but location benefit compensated.

Nasty sewage smell coming from the bathroom. There were issues with water supply and we could not have a shower one night. Impossibly to sleep at night due to noise caused by wind banging on the windows and metal shutter as the flat is located on the top 7th floor. Bed was uncomfortable and the bed sheets didn’t feel freshly changed.

The terrace was the best. The apartment is small buy nicely decorated and really cute and cosy. It was a 10 out of 10

The host is great, the apartment view is incredible and the terrace is very useful. Everything in the apartment is working as expected - shower, kitchen, the bed is comfortable.

During my stay the temperatures were really high and the nights were very hot. Since it's a last floor apartment, it can also be really windy sometimes.

EVERYTHING ! The flat is located on the top floor of the 70's building, slightly on the outskirt of the town centre- yet only 20min walk from it . It has large bay windows on three of the walls and no vis-à-vis so it's extremely luminous and warm and best of all, you get to enjoy a private roof top with a 360 view on the city ! The flat is small, yet extremely well furnished and has everything one might need. It has been carefully furnished and thought out to maximise practicality, comfort and decoration. The hostess is very lovely and easy to reach if needed. This is definitely a place to come back !

Nothing ! I appreciate it is a small flat and might be better for a couple or solo traveller as people would be quickly on the top of each other, but other than that it is perfect in my opinion and I haven't find anything I didn't like.

Rooftop balcony

Good communication with the property's owner who was present at the apartment on time to hand over the keys. The apartment is as described in the listing. It's like a tiny house surrounded by a huge terrace overlooking the city.

As mentioned by previous guests' review, there is no coffee machine, only a kettle and instant coffee. Having a French press coffee maker would be nice. I brought my own. In addition, the wardrobe space is OK for one guest but can be limited for two guests.

The spectacular views and the open space outside the apartment. The owner was so pleasant and helpful, verbally and with literature. The fruit, wine and the wine goblets were a lovely touch.

I would have preferred a firmer matress
