City Quartier Jena

Spacious home. Can easily accommodate 6-8 people. The kitchen had a large refrigerator. Each room had a door, which helped with noise reduction. A bottle of still water was given, which was a nice touch. The owner was accommodating when we unexpectedly had to add another person. Close to the city center and shopping. Overall, it was a nice home for the price.

When walking into the hall, before entering the home, there was a strong smell of waste/sewer. The bathroom shower had some mold in the caulking. Towels were older and very stiff. Only 1 hand towel and small bath towel per person for the entire stay. Neighbors were nice but noisy in the morning. Not unexpected since they permanently live there but can be loud if wishing to sleep in. Parking is not always easy to find.

The location was great and good value for money

No pillow and duvet covers provided. Pillows were soft and lumpy -the worst. The bedding in general was very poor.

Great location, very well equipped, comfortable. I definitely recommend the apartment!

Limited amount of hot water (not sufficient even for two people)

Lovely apartment in a central residential location. We stayed as 3 adults and a child and found it very spacious and comfortable. They also have a cot and high chair if you're visiting with an infant. There are 3 televisions and 2 seating areas (both in large rooms with beds). The balcony out to the back is a nice feature. The location is great, about a 10-15 minute walk into the central shopping area, a couple of children's playparks nearby, and a bakery for coffee, breads and pastries a 2 minute walk from the apartment.

We'd have liked a vacuum cleaner to tidy up each night but there was a sweeping brush. We didn't see a washing machine either so if you were staying for longer you might want to research laundrette facilities in the city.
