Excellent location, excellent apartment.

Little dark because the other building is so near, but it didn’t really bother us.

The central location close to the Cathedral was a plus. So was the building, it was elegant and beautiful. The apartment was also very clean.

The cold, aseptic looking apartment within the magnificent ancient building were in striking contrast. From the room above, children were loudly playing til midnight, it was impossible to rest. Worse than all, the hosts had an extremely complicated check in system, it was online and you could not access the apartment without a complicated and time consuming check in procedure that included filling out all your personal information (sending the mandatory ID picture is enough in most other facilities) including the Codice Fiscale (Social Security Number equivalent, a sensitive information) for ALL participants (WHAT FOR?) and only after paying the Tassa di Soggiorno (Tourist Tax) in advance (in most facilities the Tassa di Soggiorno is paid after the Soggiorno, as it is logic to be), and one could enter only after a confirmation veideocall, leaving us with the feeling that we were untrustful strangers entering Fort Knox. We did not fell safer after that, we just felt inspected.

Ich fand es übertrieben, nach dem mühsamen Ausfüllen der Daten und Hochladen aller IDs noch einen WhatsApp Video Call zur Identifizierung machen zu müssen. Als der Host dann noch meine Frau und mein Kind per Video sehen wollte, sagte ich, ich fände das übertrieben, was er dann auch einsah.
