Iseo Portelle Holiday da Barbara - indoor private parking & bike storage

The apartment was probably one of the cleanest we've ever had while it was equipped with everything we needed. It is located in the old center of Iseo with everything (bars, the lake, a supermarket) within a few minutes walking distance. Barbara is a very kind host who provided us with lots of information about the area. We can highly recommend this lovely place.

Barbara was an excellent host, communicative, beforehand, meeting us at the station and showing us round the appartment. Flat was well appointed and in a very good location.

As described the flat is on the top floor (no lift), fine for people of my height but taller people might struggle with the sloping beams. Bath is understanably small, sit in version so shower is handheld, no shower curtain so you need to be careful not to flood everywhere. Near garibaldi sq so bells sound regularly, very atmospheric

As the immediate vicinity of the apartment was pedestrianised, our taxi driver (who we arranged with the help of our fantastic host Barbara) dropped us off just a short walk away from it. Barbara was there waiting for us with umbrellas to shelter us from the heavy rain that unfortunately was falling when we arrived. She then gave us a comprehensive tour of the apartment and its facilities before taking us for a coffee and pointing out where some of the local shops and amenities were situated. Barbara even went out specially to supply us with decaf' Lavazza coffee pods for the machine in the apartment and supplied us with local baked goods on the Sunday morning. She was a very attentive and helpful host and nothing was too much trouble for her. The location was fantastic and the town had a nice atmosphere with the picturesque nearby lake.

Barbara the manager was intouch from the start of the booking. She provided information about the town, how she would meet to provide keys She is absolutely dedicated to provided an amazing experience to her guestd

Our apartment was one of 3 managed by the same hostess in Iseo's historic town center. The apartments are all in the same building and each is unique. Ours was the largest and was well-equipped with everything you could possibly need for a stay of short or long duration. While parts of the apartment were a little dark (normal for centuries-old townhouses), ample lighting made the apartment feel bright and cozy at all times. For those whose sleep is light-like one of our party: in the living room one could very occasionally hear the upstairs neighbor in the evening, but the bedroom was at all times SUPER quiet so sleeping was always undisturbed. The apartments are in the heart of the old town with services and Lake Iseo itself all within a few minutes' walk. However, our review can't be complete without including mention of our hostess-manager, Barbara. Barbara could be working in any of the world's top 5 star hotels and fit right in. She is hospitality itself: extremely considerate and thoughtful, equally friendly and welcoming while also very professional and highly responsive. In short, a great person and host who obviously enjoys her chosen work. We will be back for Iseo's tranquility and great hikes, for these great old town apartments, and to see Barbara again!

Barbara is absolutely amazing host. Prior to our trip, Barbara provided us with loads of helpful information on what to see in the area, shared travel/dining tips; kindly offered to meet us at the train station and help with the luggage. We were welcomed in person (which is rare nowadays with private hosts), treated special and cared during the whole stay. Barbara is definitely looking after her guests and apartments with care and passion. We felt like home in the Mansard; very clean, comfortable, well equipped kitchen, tastefully designed apartment. It was nice to wake up in the morning with church bells ringing and the view to the mountains. The location is perfect- just outside Garibaldi piazza and a few min away from the lake., loads of great & beautiful places to eat/dine; and also ferry pier, the boat from there takes you the to beautiful Monte Isola island. We loved our stay and will definitely recommend to everyone and will be back ourselves. P.S. If you are a tall person and coming for a longer stay, you may check with Barbara which bathroom option is best for you.

Excellent stay in a beautiful apartment with secure car parking, we are keen cyclists so the secure bike storage was a bonus. From the start our host Barbara was very professional and most helpful in ensuring we had a nice stay!
