Haus Ilse & Karl Heinz

Ilse was at home when we arrived so we collected the key from her. the house is right next to the petrol station and you can park there. The place is spotless and she has everything you need in the kitchen. Really good shower. Plenty of cooking gear. Despar store and a bank within an easy walk. Full size fridge and freezer. We had one night there but there is no washing machine, microwave or toaster. There is an even and a cooktop. Plenty of utensils. A very comfortable apartment and a very kind host.

Very kind lady and clean room. We were satisfied with everything.

Rooms were very clean. The staff very friendly. It is the best place to stay before adventuring on the Stelvio Pass.

Located up a hill some way from town, ceiling was a little low (hit my head!)

Not a lot but I don't want to ruin their business.

I arrived to be blocked in by their daughter on the parking area. I asked how would I get my car out if I wanted to find somewhere to eat and was told to walk up the road or park my car in the petrol station next door. There was a language issue and I wasn't happy leaving my car on someone else's premises. After a little frustration and using google translate they told me the owner of the garage where friends of theirs. Karl the owner was more concerned with extracting the 2.5 euro visitor tax from me then disappeared not to be seen again. I had a room with a kitchen area so was able to pop a pizza in the oven. The local village had a single open restaurant which was expensive and the owner looked a bit hot and bothered, hence I didn't hang around.
