Culag Lochside Self Catering

Beautiful location. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. They even laid on some fireworks and bonfire for bonfire night. Patrick was great and extremely helpful. Had a really nice weekend. Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning in the future

Everything about our stay at Culag was perfect. Set Literally on the shores of Loch Lomand, the location is delightful with Stunning views. The apartment was amazing, very cosy and comfortable, with everything you need to self cater. Patrick is a welcoming host and always ready to stop and chat. We can't wait to return.

Patrick was very accommodating we had a problem with the room as it had stairs and I can't do stairs,, so Patrick went out of his way to get us one with out stairs and I must admit it didn't disappoint it was amazing. He is a very pleasant man even told us the best places to go to eat if we didn't want to cook. I'd defiantly recommend this place the views of the loch and the peace and tranquility was good.

We had the most wonderful time at Culag Lochside in Luss. The location is absolutely unbeatable — right on the water with stunning views of Loch Lomond, and just a short walk into the charming village of Luss. The setting is peaceful and private, yet so convenient for exploring the area. The accommodation itself was spotless, beautifully furnished, and had everything we needed for a comfortable self-catering stay. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bed was super comfortable, and the living area had a cozy feel with a view that’s hard to beat. We especially loved sitting outside in the mornings with a coffee, watching the light change over the loch — pure magic. Our host was friendly, welcoming, and made sure everything was perfect for our arrival. Their local tips were spot-on, and you can tell they really care about their guests having a great experience. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with all the comforts of home and breathtaking scenery, Culag Lochside is the place to stay.

The only small downside we found was the cost of any taxis — there’s a bit of a surcharge as they are having to travel outside of their district, which can add up if you’re heading out to nearby restaurants or other places in the area. It’s completely understandable given the location and how rural it is, but something to keep in mind if you don’t have your own transport. If you plan to explore or dine out often, it’s definitely easier (and more economical) to have a car with you.

The location was absolutely perfect, surrounded by such breathtaking natural beauty. Even though the weather was terrible during our stay, it didn’t take away from how special the place felt. In fact, watching the rain and mist over the landscape made it even more peaceful and memorable. The hosts were truly superb — kind, welcoming, and thoughtful in every way. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more. Despite the weather, it was a wonderful stay that left us feeling relaxed and grateful. We’d love to return one day, hopefully with a bit more sunshine!
