Make My Day 61, rue Sully

It was quiet and peaceful and the beds are extremely comfortable. We arrived in the middle of a heatwave so the air conditioning was a life saver. Very quiet street but plenty of amenities close by including a supermarket and a fantastic bakery around the corner. It was great for us as a couple with two teenagers. There are lots of restaurants close by though note many are closed during August holidays.

It would have been good to have some very basic supplies e.g. sugar, salt and spare bin bags. The showers could be difficult for taller people.

The apartment has very comfortable beds and is spacious for three people. The self check-in was easy and the location is excellent. The kitchenette has excellent facilities. The washing machine is a big plus and very easy to use. The effective air conditioning was also straightforward to operate.

The checkin time of 5pm is quite late and the checkout time of 10am is quite early. I would have liked a higher bracket in the shower. Be warned that the ceilings on the upper floor are low.

The apartment itself was nice and spacious. The neighborhood was safe and walking distance to cafes and restaurnats.

There were a few problems with our stay. 1. The door to the hallway that leads to the apartments was malfunctioning and left open creating a security issue. We did not report this to the owner though. 2. While showering in the bathroom, water started leaking in the kitchen. It was a big leak that we had to clean up. We notified the owner and they quickly responded offering to bring towels. However, they downplayed the leak stating that it was due to the shower being used for too long which was not the case. We were not able to use that shower for the remainder of the stay and we cleaned up the water which may have prevented further damage to the kitchen floor. We requested some type of compensation back but we did not receive anything. 3. On the last night of the stay, one of our guests noticed bites on her back and legs. We found a bug in that bedroom (the room with a shower only) and did a google image search. Google said it was a bedbug. We left the bug in a plastic bag for the owner and reported it to him. he downplayed this also.

Great location to get to Parc Tête D’Or. The space was comfortable and had everything you needed.

Door locking system was a bit tricky the first time, but after 1st using no problem

Both bathrooms shower’s ceiling are so low. Can’t stand when you shower.

Loft area hot for sleeping. Had to use air conditioning to sleep in November. Sofa needs cushions to be comfortable.
