Place Massena - Beau 2P/Wifi - Vieux Nice/Plage

Location was fantastic! Apartment was functional and comfortable. Finding the key was a little tricky but photos texted by host sorted it out! There was no instruction booklet for Wifi, etc. but we found the modem box in a press with the password on it and it worked perfectly.

Unfortunately for us, our visit coincided with road works in the street outside! Terrible noise from early in the morning! But we still enjoyed our stay! Nice is so lovely and everything we wanted was within walking distance of the apartment.

The property had no ventilation and the stack pipe in the bathroom had a sewage problem so the smell that went through the apartment was awful. We are a family of 4 with two younger children and the apartment shouldn't have been rented to us in this condition. We contacted the owners representative who seemed to understand the situation but couldn't resolve the sewage issue with an engineer until after our visit. Unfortuantly it was impossible for us to continue staying there and we had to find somewhere else to stay after 2 nights of the 6-night stay. Incurring extra costs! We requested a partial refund from the owner, 50% of the stay, even though we only stayed 2 nights. I think this was more than fair. We were told by the representative that they would get back to us about it. However since then the owner has not responded to us or to the requests of booking.com. I am afraid I have to advise customers not to book this apartment, because if you have any problems they will not be resolved. Not a professional service.
