Awardwinning penthouse, Oslo city / Grünerløkka

Beautiful views, good location for catching public transport and getting small groceries very easily, quiet neighborhood, beautiful patios, lots of nice bedding, very very clean, hosts were excellent at communicating. very easy check in directions. Our family of four highly recommend this place. (Note: the sofa has a trundle so makes a good choice for two kids, who then don't have to share the same bed. Trundle itself has springs, so is better for a smaller/lighter person.) Linens were immaculate, and so was bathroom.

A seemingly small but important thing: windows and room/patio doors will not stay open because there are no door stops or window props, and so they blow closed immediately, which is frustrating when it is hot indoors and beautifully cool outside. (Pro tip: a roll of paper towels (provided) did work to keep a window open, and once we improvised, it cooled quickly.)

The apartment is very light and bright and easily accessible with luggage. It's a really great size for a couple and the sofa was really comfortable - you wouldn't guess its a sofa bed. The location of this apartment was really good. Lots of food and shopping nearby and really easy to walk to the port and other areas of interest. The kitchen was really good to be able to use (supermarket is nearby) and the washing machine was also great to have. Also great to have Netflix. The views were really nice and with the windows open, there was great ventilation. And the neighbours were very friendly.

The windows and terrace door don't have any mechanisms to keep them open so we found they kept slamming in the wind. And you do really need them open on hot days as the apartment gets very hot. The bed also seemed small for a queen and the bedroom gets quite hot at night. The bathroom gets quite wet from the shower. And we didn't really expect to have to do as much housekeeping as was requested as part of departure (it's more than any other apartment we have stayed in), particularly given there are cleaners and the price of the apartment. The place has a little bit more of a worn feel than the pictures present.

Overall we had a lovely time and we can recommend the apartment to anyone who wants to visit Oslo

In the winter, it was difficult to maintain the right temperature in the bedroom - could use one more mobile heater Maybe a new frying pan would be nice :)

What a fantastic location! The penthouse was in such a great location and had absolutely everything you could need for a break away. The flat was very clean and was really well stocked with all the essentials - towels, bedding, loo rolls! The hosts were very communicative and helpful. Netflix on the TV after a long day exploring Oslo was very welcome 🤗

The doors and windows were a little tricky to close properly so just make sure if you're staying here you make sure you get a bit of help to ensure you've mastered locking up properly is all. Not a criticism just a pointer!!
