"Ground floor studio which is well shaded from the sun, has all you need inside & close to the Beach"

10.0

Owner met us at the property late at night. We arrived around 1am. Very nice chap who had driven from Athens to meet us. Looking back, perhaps we could have met somewhere near the car pick up to save them having to do 4/5 hours round trip. We stayed 12 nights and the place is very roomy, comfortable and has all the amenities that you need. Large fridge freezer, Large cooker, Dishwasher and Washing Machine. There were more than ample towels of all sizes to use, along with bed sheets etc. The bed is very comfortable along with the pillows. My partner is 17 stone + and I'm probably half this if that helps you in anyway. Cupboards aplenty, to store your luggage away from sight with plenty of draws and coat hangers The Kitchen has all the utensils, pots and pans, plates, cups and so on that you would need. Great Aircon in the room. Lovely shaded area right outside the front door and further seating to the side and a massive BBQ if that is your thing. There is also an outside shower and separate sink to wash yourselves from the sand etc. Not too sure, but I think this part is communal for you and the flat above which are owned by the same lovely couple. Just a 5 minute walk down a small hill to the beach which also passes a few shops to buy bits and bobs. In this location you also have a small supermarket which sells all the essentials. If you have a car, LIDL is only about 10/12 mins away in the next town (Nafplio) which you will want to visit in any case for the Castle alone. Lovely old town and amazing restaurants looking over the harbour and the small Fortress. If you are looking for items for the beach, especially for the little ones, you will find just about anything you need in the huge China Town shop which is on the way to Nafplio centre. Some great prices and is effectively TEMU in a shop. You won't be out of the shop for quite sometime, so be strong and get out when you can lol. Effectively Aladdin's cave just about.

We had an issue with google maps not taking us directly to the property. We ended up outside some private flats where I guess locals live. The property we stayed at was about 150 metres further down the road in a well lit area. We have tried to update google maps, so that nobody else has this problem. Perhaps in the daytime it might have been easier to work out. Regarding the accommodation, and this is a minor issue, I would have liked to have had black out curtains. They do have blinds but they don't stop some of the street lamps at night coming through. We ended up using some of the spare sheets to minimise the light. They may be fine for others but worth a thought only.
