Ryde Beach Garden Apartment

Everything was great. Place was large and everything was comfortable.

Clean, cozy and very homey apartment with short walk to the beachfront. Excellent host & quick to respond to any queries & requests.

Perhaps can spruce up the surroundings from the front gate to the back entrance of the apartment.

The bed was one of the comfiest ive ever slept in. The linen and towels smelt lovely. Powerful shower. 1 minute walk to the beach with lots of activities for little ones, with an easy walk along the esplanade all the way to the other end.

Nothing i didn't like, but just a suggestion to have a mat on the floor in the hall to step onto as it can be a little slippy in the rain.

Great location. Comfortable beds. Plenty of space in the living room. Good shower.

We were looking forward to spending time in the garden but it was so overgrown with weeds. There were damp patches on some of the internal walls.

Bra läge, någon minut till stranden, mysig lägenhet med stora ytor. Enkelt att hitta parkering.

Trädgården och utomhusytorna var inte speciellt välskötta

The location to the beachfront was amazing - 2 minute walk and you are right by the Peter Pan Amusements and the beach. We easily walked with our wheeled suitcases from the ferry terminal and it was an easy and flat walk. 10-15 mins for us. The location was the best thing about this apartment. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Easy to access with the key safe by the front door. (The door has a few up/down steps to navigate if you have any mobility issues - see photo attached)

I have used booking.com for many years and for many trips and I am at the highest Genius level. Unfortunately, I came away from this trip stressed rather than relaxed. I will list the issues: 1. A resident from a floor above regularly throws bread out for the birds, this lands on the patio belonging to this apartment and the garden is then frequently filled with pigeons who then poop on the patio and the patio furniture. The owner tells me that this person has apparently been told to 'cease and desist' previously. 2. Multiple pieces of broken glass and rubble on the patio - I found these on the second day of our stay, when we first went into the garden. The owner said 'if there is any glass, that must have come from the same source' (ie. the same person who is throwing out the bread). He said that 'if anything comes down between my cleaner and gardener coming in, there is little I can do about it', 'I just wish you'd said as soon as you got in', suggesting that he could have got someone round to clear it up. Someone did come round the following day to clear up. The outdoor space needs attention, the weeds/brambles/broken gate make it look untidy. 3. The shower head could not be held in position on the riser rail, as the slider bracket wasn't working. The owner arranged for someone to fix it the following day. It worked better but the handset still slid down the rail slowly. I appreciated it being fixed, but I was not told in advance that someone would be coming into the apartment to do the work. For a female travelling alone with a child, this is quite important. 4. I bought a few microwavable meals and then discovered that the microwave was not working. The cord was damaged/bent and some wires were exposed. I immediately unplugged it. The owner said 'it is odd, as I've never had any issues with it before'. He said he would drop in a replacement, but we left the next day, so never saw it. 5.
