2 Rowntree House

Location was excellent. It is an authentic building of character. It was quiet and restful.

The initial step into the building was a bit of challenge especially to the older person, but should be OK for most people. I would have thought that a larger TV would be more appropriate. The one at present is perhaps a 32 inch and like most rental properties has to be setup after each rental. No real gripes though. Location tops all!

Clean, comfortable and in a perfect location.

The low thrumming noise and vibration in the bedroom from the Pizza Hut extractor during the day. This didn’t affect the living area and it stopped by the time we were back after evenings out.

The location and the flat were excellent and was a perfect base to see and do things in and around York

We could not get the hot water to work. Heating was great but no hot water apart from once on 2nd day. Tried all suggestions in book and would have liked a phone call to tell us what to do or what we were doing wrong. Shower screen is not effective and not a big issue but does mean water spills onto the woodwork. Also could not switch to using bath tap only so had to resort to using the shower head to have a bath

This was our second stay in this beautiful apartment! It's very comfortable and has everything you need for your stay! Lovely and light in the summer and cosy in the winter! The location is excellent!!

The bedroom is a bit on the dark side, for the ladies wanting to do their makeup (bring a light up mirror)

Right in the heart of the city. Perfect location for shopping, bars and restaurants. Use of the door code made entry into the building and property easy. Beautiful flat which was well appointed.

Decor...close to everything, clean, washing machine, entry via pin pad was easy.

Couldn't get the hearing right.

Central location, near central York and Xmas market etc

Noisy ….. particularly in the evening till quite late- intrusive loud venting noise in bedroom, presumably from ducting of adjacent restaurant

Absolutely stunning well equipped apartment right in the middle of York. We had no issues whatsoever with anything and within an hour or two of arriving we already booked to come back next year. The thoughtful touches of coffee and biscuits was appreciated. Local shops, amenities, bars and restaurants are all a stones throw away yet the apartment keeps its peaceful relaxing environment intact. Just perfect.

That we couldn't stay longer 😅
